With fox moving Deadpool 2 to 18 may, they needed to move it to maximize the box office take

Black Panther: best marvel movie ever, was easy to relate to the hero and the villain... I may be bias but this was the first time I really cared about a bad guy in a marvel film.

I'm really not sure what the fuss is about the boxart... I found a couple of examples of boxart for the sets and they are horrible but is anyone really buying sets for the boxes?- 3,962 replies

Shine, IMO the best film ever made and further prof that the academy awards is a sham and little more than a popularity contest (It was beaten by Titanic). It is an absolute triumph of a film displaying in the deepest and most raw fashion what can break a man and finally how he can be put him back together.

Agreed... plus I have theory (so potential spoilers if I'm right and I've angered people in the past by figuring things like this out in other shows, so open this at your own peril)

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
grimmfreak replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I believe I was the one to say it was too small but that was because I was looking at a fan made one that someone was trying to pass off as a USC. I was trying to find out if that was the one people were referring to as I was able to confirm it was fan made, thius I wanted to debunk a possible false rumor. However after being corrected I later found the one everyone else is talking about and it is 100% real and the head is not too small I happen to also disagree with those that say the head is too large, although there are other problems in that the legs are too thin and the torso is oddly proportioned (the upper section is wider than the lower section giving it an odd look IMO)- 3,962 replies

Ah, yes, that makes sense now. I wonder if there might be a way to mod the legs that would look right... It would definitely be more difficult than the torso but it might be worth a shot- 3,962 replies

okay, I found it now. I think the legs do look smallish, however, the legs wern't much bigger in the movie as I recall... I think the top of the torso looks bigger than the lower torso in a weird way though (that could easily be corrected by very minor modifications. For $100 I think I might go for it but if it indeed $160, I will almost certainly take a pass. Looking at it I can't imagine it being worth that much.- 3,962 replies

I disagree with people who think the legs look small, I think, if anything the torso looks undersized and the head looks too small, in fact, I'm wondering if this is a moc, the head doesn't look like the one that leaked before to me... too small If you guys are looking at the same thing I am it is defiantly fan made, I first found it on a site saying it was the USC but tracked it back to a site that makes it clear it is custom made. If someone could PM me, maybe I can get them the image I have and we can confirm it is the same one everyone else is looking at.- 3,962 replies

Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation
grimmfreak replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I wonder if we might get a comic or cartoon based set or two in the summer. I think comic based is the more likely as Marvel is in the process of rebooting their animation slate (finally). Also, i wonder what the chances are of sets based on Cloak and Dagger and New Warriors (if it ever sees the light of day) both of these shows are supposed to be aimed at younger audiences My crazy hope for summer is 2-ant man sets (A Submarine set and the shrinking ant van set) 1 comic based set and 1 Cloak and Dagger set...I know I'm dreaming but why not shoot for the moon? -
While I know it won't happen, Deadpool 2 figure wish list: Cable, Domino, Colossus!... Maybe we get these in comic book based sets down the road... Probably not :-(

re-watched Ant Man after seeing Ant Man and the Wasp trailer... Man, I still crack up seeing the giant Tomas the tank smashing everything! B++ (close to an A- but VERY few movies are worth an A)

I still want a mini van and flip feature... For all this I'd pay $50. I'm still gonna hope for 2 sets, as mentioned. -

I wouldn't mind a set featuring the chase scene where they shrink the truck and then return to size under the other vehicle. I could imagine both a regular size truck and a mini version. You could add a play feature that could flip the other vehicle. Anyway, one idea just from the tailor...Also, have to say this, love the whole attack of the giant pez dispenser scene! -
DC has done a lot of excellent animation in recent years... I only hope Marvel can do as well as they reboot their Animated universe (not sad to see the garbage they've been doing recently go)

I saw 'the greatest showman' and I was pleasantly surprised. From seeing the previews I thought it would portray PT Barnum as some kind of saint but it was a far more honest portrayal than I expected. B+

with the fox deal coming, i wonder if we might see some more X-Men comic based sets... Knowing that the rights are coming back might make this more likely.
-
We can hope to see some of these characters in comic or cartoon based sets... We got agent Coulson and while he wasn't MAOS version I was happy to get him at all. With Marvel rebooting their animated world (finally their animated shows have been AWFUL lately) we might see more of the heroes from marvels other shows in cartoon form and thus have a chance to get them from lego

these are both not exactly things to bring back but i'd love to see a spin off of Grimm and a successful spin off of Babylon 5... of course neither will happen
