  1. Hello all, I have just recently gotten back into lego, maybe the past year or 2. Picking up a few sets I liked here and there and having a good time building again. A couple weeks ago I jumped head first in 9V trains with a huge lot I could not pass up. I think I ended up with at least 1 if not more of each of the 9V train sets plus multiple stations, crossings, 2x train repair shop ect. ect. all individually packed up in a plastic tote with all accessories and instruction manuals. As of right now I have started building a city on a 5x10 table but best case scenario I can only fit 4 trains on the table at a time. I have one more table coming which will be strictly a rail and freight yard to hold the trains. I am looking forward to learning all there is to know about 9V trains and building my city around them. Next step is saving up to get a few modulars to get the city started and keep sorting through the bins to see what other builds i find hidden in the boxes. I added a few pictures below of my very simple layout i built this weekend as well as a few pictures to show the size of the massive haul of trains. Looking forward to learning lots going forward.
  2. As long as I am not the one stepping on the Lego I am not too concerned. I am in southwestern Ontario. Just outside of Windsor.
  3. Hello from Canada, My name is Shawn and I am 37. I played with Lego as a kid but never had any actual sets. Just my imagination. I recently got back into Lego about 2 years ago when my wife got me the vw camper. She may be regretting that now. Since then some of the main sets I have done are the millenium falcon, vw beetle, the silent Mary, etco one plus a bunch of smaller sets. We also started out wi her village for Christmas with the holiday train and train station and plan to build on each year. My 2 oldest daughters 6 and 7 are now really into Lego as well. My oldest is currently working on all the jungle sets right now which she got for birthday and Christmas gifts. Waiting to get started on the sets we got from Christmas now. As a family we got the Disney castle and for me the shield helicarrier along with a few small city sets. Once these are all built I am leaning now towards the creator and modular sets and dreaming up a big display with the Disney castle at the center of it and thinking of how I can incorporate some of my current sets into the design. I also recently picked up a bulk bunch of lego that I need to go through. It was 3 storage bins about 3 feet tall each full. I am guessing 10,000 plus pieces and a bag of over 200 minifigs. I am at the point now where I can't really buy any more Lego as I have nowhere to put it. Luckily we are looking at moving in the next year or so and will be looking for a potential dedicated Lego room in the basement for me and the kids. As long as I make room for a small dance studio I have wife approval. But we will see how that goes when the time comes. Looking forward to browsing around the site and seeing what other people have come up with for inspiration.
