  5. today I purchased 30 series 3 minifigs which broke down to 1 fisherman, 2 pilots, 2 indians, 2 samurais, 1 snowboarder, 1 robot alien guy, 2 sumos, 3 mummys, 3 tennis players, 3 race drivers, 1 gorilla, 1 alien, 2 hula girls, 3 rappers, and 3 baseball players. Not a single elf today....grrr.... tho I did get some of them yesterday :)
  6. Ok, I've posted a few posts already but haven't introduced myself yet so figured I might as well.... I JUST discovered how cool legos are. I mean, I have 4 kids 2 of which are boys and one of them has loved legos from the time he was able to build... and I have a husband who has always loved legos. BUT I never played with legos as a kid or really cared much about them till about a month ago. I mean, thought they looked cool but that was about it.... UNTIL I discovered the collectible minifigures.... OMG... I don't even remember how I came across them but I was like OMG... I NEED THESE! I've gotten both series 3 and 4 complete and a handful of both series one and two. Then doing searches for more minifigs I discovered the Modular buildings! Again... I was like OMG! I NEED THESE! So began the hunt. I found the lego store in Michigan about an hour and a half away and me and hubby made a trip and dropped like $800.00 our first trip. Got the Emporium, the Fire Brigade, a creator house, a bunch of city police stuff and tons of minifigs. Oh... don't even get me going on the PAB wall... that thing was great. Oh, the potential! Built the modulars up fast that night and then a few days later went back and got the Pet Shop the day it came out and more minifigs and more PAB stuff and some of the Alien Conquest stuff.... boy oh boy.... heaven! So within that month we've been to the lego store 4 times and have collected about 200 minifigs from the collections 1-4. Currently I'm collecting the bricks to make the corner cafe and green grocer... and drooling over all the MOC's on here. We have plans to create our own lego city and have our own space planned out for it all. Needless to say my hubby is more than tickled that finally I don't blink on a 150.00 lego set. Before he would be like, I want to buy this AT-AT... or Millenium Falcon... and I would be like um, that's a lot of money for a toy....(tho we would buy lots for the youngest son at the holiday and birthday times)....and now I'm like, okay, you can get something cool as long as I can too! I'm actually on my way up to the store where late last night I found a box of series 3 on the shelf so that I can pick up the rest of them that I didn't have the cash on me for yesterday. I see a LONG and FUN future ahead with TONS of LEGOS in my future! Now I just need to get enough bricks amassed so I can start doing some of my own MOC's and add to our city plans. :) Boy.... that was long.... I really think I have a problem. Maybe it's all the years of being lego deprived catching up and now I'm trying to make up for it FAST....lol...
  7. The van you made is cool.... but boy does this look yummy right about now!
  8. Do you still need a baseball player and space villian? I have quite a few extra series three figs. Just found a box full of them at a local store too....which was exciting! I really need all of series 1. Fellow Michigander.... pm me if you are interested?
  9. You just ask what they have in the back. As long as they're not busy someone seems willing to grab parts for you. The only tan I've been seeing are the small corner plates.
  10. Where did you get the mushrooms? I love them!
  11. Wow.... 4 Michiganders in one thread..... cool. I was happy when they brought out a box of black whip/ariels and a box of flat gauge pieces and also black 2x2 round plates with an eyehole. And was glad that they got rid of the hero parts in the wall. :)

  13. POTC Fountain of Youth Minifigures collectibles series 1 zombie and robot
  14. I would definately be interested! This would be a great addition to my city I'm working on.
  15. Ok.... I knew there were SOME MOC instructions on ebay but I must not have noticed some others before or they weren't up then.... but some of my favorite things I've seen on here are there so I'm right now doing the happy dance! this is way cool! and my son is drooling right now....lol
  16. I would DEFINATLY pay for some of the MOC designs that I've seen on here....
  17. a school would be great.... or a cool park.... library, ice rink, pool, beauty salon/spa, restaurant, hospital....these are ideas from my 8 year old daughter. She would love more lego that was girl oriented but not "pink and girly" if you know what I mean. Just because it's geared toward girls doesn't mean it has to be pink I'm a female AFOL and often feel that lego really misses out on a lot of potential customers by they're mainly boy based items. We did get a creator house for our daughter and the lifeguard harbor set for her.... and she loves playing with our modulars (emporium, fire brigade, and pet shop). Also, one of the managers at one of the lego stores I shop at did say to me last week that 2012 will see some girl themed items. So, we can just wait and see I suppose.
  18. Totally awesome houses. Great job... love the balcony and the sunporch. Wish there were instructions to build these. Looked at some of your other buildings too.... amazing stuff.... especially loved the burned out war buildings... my son would LOVE to have those to play with!
  19. This is SOOOO awesome. I love how you did the snow and the side of the mountain.... the inside of the building is amazing. Great great job!
  20. Hmmmm. Do you happen to live in michigan and are you referring to the somerset mall Lego store? I love that place. Just got another 3 large pab cups there and a bunch of other stuff. They pulled boxes from the back and we were excited to see stuff that wasn't brought out the week before when they pulled for us. I'll have to post what we scored there. We passed up on any boxes but I'm sure well be getting some in the future. We've dropped over $1000.00 there in the past 3 weeks on sets and minifigs and pab finds. Now that we know it's there ( just found it about 3 weeks ago. Lol ) I'm sure it's going to be a trip we make a few times month tho it's a good hour and half drive for us.
  21. This set totally ROCKS! My hubby now wants me to create a hazmat team to clean up messes in our city.... lol
