  1. 😂 this! (obviously tongue in cheek, but it made me laugh)
  2. I’m not sure they will ever do another boggart snape. We got pretty much the definitive version a few years back in that exclusive 4 minifigure pack (toysRus here in France)
  3. I don’t disagree. Unless they do a micro scale model or a forced perspective, then I don’t think they’ll ever give us a film accurate set. Too many bricks would be needed to provide the ‘hill’ part of the city. I can imagine smaller sets that are sold as stand alone sets portraying sections of the city though…
  4. Personally, I think they could provide a fairly good coverage by splitting it I to three sets - one larger one, probably with the top section, then two smaller ones, maybe with the city walls section or gate. It would be cool if combining all three made one seamless larger set but each still works as a stand-alone set. This could also allow for a good selection of minifigures.
  5. Well, it’s a personal choice but you would at least have the option to chose to just get your favourite one(s). And you’d also be able to rotate your displays if you wanted to. case in point, I only ever bought one of the SW dioramas. I liked most of them but not enough to justify the outlay.
  6. 😂 yes, well, one doesn’t justify the other. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Lego could put out an amazing set with a huge selection of minifigures, but there’s surely a point when it’s just too much. personally, I like smaller displays that I can switch up every so often or which are not so obvious that they become a huge focal point. The Rivendale set i think is exceptional and about the maximum size I want on display for any one set. I guess things may be different for those that have entire rooms dedicated to their collection, but I’d imagine that’s not most people.
  7. To me this theme is crying out for the smaller diorama style they used for SW. There are so many iconic moments they could portray (Boromir’s final scene would be one of my favourite). I’m not really sure how anyone can justify spending €1,000 on a Lego set, no matter how great is is…
  8. Man that advent calendar is a let down… literally no redeeming features.
  9. That’s true. Maybe Lego could invent the skirt piece with movable joints!.. 😉
  10. Yes, just finished building it yesterday and I love it. I’ve never built any of the mechs before but I think the balrog looks amazing. And compared to a minifigure that thing is huge, so they definitely do the scene justice and capture the scale of the Mines of Moria. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is that Gandalf may have worked better with legs so that he could look up. But the figure is screen accurate and the printing is nice, so that’s if I was being very very picky… More please (but a little less pricey maybe…)!
  11. Do we know what the book nook set is supposed to look like?
  12. Do we have a description of the book nook set?
  13. I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned yet, but the new D&D set includes a bar/pub. Surely this means that there would be no issues with giving us the Leaky Cauldron now!
  14. I’m interested to know why people are so excited about Hagrid’s hut? The previous iteration was absolutely great and I don’t think a remake was needed. Obviously Fang and Norbert are a draw, but is this the only reason people are keen for this?
