Hey there. Awesome build. I am a huge fan of intricacies and love all the small details (all started when I built a small Panini press... I was hooked after that!) Are you intending on having a customer information desk at all? Some of the ones here in the U.K can be quite lavish and would allow the use of a lot of trans(insert favourite colour here) peices. And where's the loo's??? ( I really wanted to write Dunny there, but didn't want to annoy/offend anyone...) JC

[MOC] [WWII] Mission objective: disabling communications

Hey there. Lovely little vignette. I do like small but strong statements when folks build to tell a story. Just one thing though... Isn't that the head from the street sweeper set (7242)? -

Trade Polybags for an Emerald...
johnny cogs replied to johnny cogs's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Like I said, value is a matter of differing opinion..... You do not know how much or little I have spent in aquiring the promotional polybags, only their value at the time of the promotion. I have offered a trade, not asked for an opinion, if it's not for you then thank you for your input. If you believe the 30131 set is only worth 50p then perhaps I have made an error of judgement, or perhaps you haven't looked at bricklink, taken the cheapest possible prices you could find for these sets, complete and sealed, multiplied that by the respective amount of sets there are on offer and THEN decided the trade offer was fair or not. If the avg bootsale price is 50p I'll eat my hat. I am offering a trade, thats all, not a discussion, or a rip off, just a trade, on the offchance someone looking to trade/sell/collect has a different opinion to you. I am offering sealed items in exchange for a second hand item that I can enjoy with my young sons.... is that a problem too? Thanks for your valuable input. -

Hey Everyone... I've been lurking about for ages... thought it about time I said hello.... I returned to Lego after many years away (the teenager, beer cars n ladies bit) and when my little Wifey fell preggers with son number 1 the floodgates opened... I went a bit mental buying City and Star Wars stuff.... I then went on to sell the sW stuff again as I decided to concentrate and building a City for my boys, yes boys, whoopsie baby number 2 came along in quick succesion!!! lol... So, now, I have a handsome bundle of vehicles, tweaked and modded, a couple of interesting buildings n stuff. Now here's the twist.... While all that was going on I was also collecting oo guage train items for me.... but now, now I am getting rid of most of it in order to feed my craving for lego trains.... I love the concept... perfect combination of daddy/son fun!!! (more dad than son tbh....) and the latest range of trains really do inspire me to get involved.... I am awaiting the delivery of my PotC Queen Anne's revenge and already I am considering swapping/ selling it to get the Maersk set, I have already offered ALL of my Polybags in exchange for an Emerald Night in the sell/ swap forums ( http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=56081 ) & I should have the current freight set by mid June to get the ball rolling. I am very much looking forward to the MOC/MOD aspects of building a network and have a heap of ideas up the ol sleeve.... Hopefully it won't be long before I can display my own take on things, as I am a fan of British Diesels and hope to replicate some of my fave's... Anyways, enough waffling, thanks for the inspiration, I hope I can so justice with my plans. Thanks in advance for having me here... Rgds... JC

Hey folks.... I have amassed a bunch of Polybags, some of which were for trading with and some for a project I was considering... but due to a change of plans I am now looking to trade my collection. I am offering, for swap, a collection of 32 polybags, made up of a combination of the following... Potc Polybag (30131-1) Jack Sparrow's boat, bnip, sealed (multiple). PotC Polybag (30130-1) Black Pearl, bnip, SEALED (multiple). Pharaoh's Quest Polybag (30083) Dragon Chase Ninjago, bnip, sealed (multiple) Pharaoh's Quest Polybag (30090) Desert Glider, bnip, SEALED(multiple). Pharaoh's Quest Polybag (30091) Desert Rover, bnip, SEALED (multiple). Star Wars Polybag (30054) At-St, bnip, SEALED (multiple). In exchange Iam looking for an Emerald Night set (10194). Would prefer bnib if poss.... I know opinions differ greatly about values, but I believe this is a very fair swap.... I can provide evidence of trustworthyness and contact details etc for anyone worried about trading items of this value. I am in the U.K. I am not looking to profit from this trade. Best Regards.....

Soz to bring it up but I have only just come across this thread and I had to say something.... The train is Utterly Outstanding..... This is why Lego is such a great tool!!! Now if I can steal master this design (with permission of course!?!?!?!?!) and build it with my boys they will have fun learning about mechanics/engineering/design and then awesome toys!!!! Gotta love it... Wonderful work..... Hats off to the OP.....

GUTTED!!!!! Having recently got into trains I have been racking the old grey matter thinking of ways to build a 2 or three car dmu in the old Strathclyde transport colours as it would be a nice cap doffing to my old stomping ground and I hadn't seen one before... UNTIL NOW..... there it is, the orange and black... now I will be forced to MOC mine with a tinge of sadness.... Crackin' build though... Kudos buddy!

This has just given me sooo many ideas!!!! Good post! -
This was the first PotC set I purchased and it's got me hooked... Really nice review btw...

I wish lego would ease off the Gas a bit sometimes...... I doubt I will be able to afford all these trains before they go out of production..... and I 'll be you knowwhatted if I am going to buy a set from a ridiculously over inflated ebay sale.... As nice as this train may be, I can't really understand why TLG can't sell this in parallel to the current cargo train, after all, it's a maintenance train is it not???

I absolutely love this... The EN wasn't really on my map until I saw this, now I want at least 3 to modify and mess with.... To the OP, would you consider creating a list of all the parts you purchased? Or is that me being lazy??? I only ask as the EN is either 2nd or 3rd on the shopping list and the cost of modifying the colours might help me decide where it finally ends up "on the list"! thx
-
^Agreed. Would love to see it in Blue and yellow!!! Lovely Little Powerhouse though. (tips had to creator...)

That's a beautiful engine... Quite inspirational, and kudos to the Lady who bought it for her husband to be... top wifey material!!! =)

I might get laughed out of court here but I would Love to see a "Music Icons" range of minifigs and sets.... Like Jimi and the Experience at Woodstock and/or Isle of White... The Foo Fighters at the O2 in London, or Wembley, The Beatles at The Cavern, Liverpool, or the scene when they first get off the plane in America. Status Quo... (who Laughed???? ;p )or the ultimate... Ozzy and Sabbath!!!! Actually, thinking about it, an Alice Cooper set would be pretty fun too... It's almost non exhaustive!!! ha...

Free LEGO promotion with UK Sun and News of the World
johnny cogs replied to pedro's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Hey all. If it helps anyone that missed out I have a few of the polybags I would be happy to trade with, no sales though, just trades... I know I am new around here but I use this username all over the net and can be found quite easily, so I won't be leaving the country... (hang on, that wouldnt make a difference, would it??? lol) Anyways if it's allowed give me a shout. I have a few Jack Sparrow n boats, black pearls, both pharaos quest bags and a bunch of At-St's. I had to send away for the ninjago stuff.... Will trade for other polybags, anything to do with trains, bits for my MOD/MOC Fire Engine, PaB bags.... anything that fits really.... ha.... -
Hey Brickdoctor, many thanks....
