  1. Nice one @jeroennieuw , will check that out when I get to the docking pods of my build. Will be interested to see when you build yours. Hopefully it scales down correctly for my UCS MF.
  2. I'm essentially just mirroring the left hand side I suppose (albeit with some exterior panelling and greebling differences).
  3. Hi Lock, thanks for quick response. Ok, will cross reference the LDD with what the set has. Thanks!
  4. Question for @Lock, I'm not at this section in my build progress yet but just wondered if any extra pieces were needed to be bought to enable this mod? Want the right panels to mirror the left so I can show that other room as well as correctly angle the vents. Thanks!
  5. Thanks Lock. Several things bothered me about this build but that sag was the biggest disappointment. Can't remember off-hand who I saw in this thread had flattened theirs but was determined to have no gaps there. While I'm at it, can I just say I love all the mods you made to yours. I will be replicating your rear panel solution when I get to that. This whole thread is a gold mine and full of wonderful ideas and inspiration.
  6. Ok, I think I have it 🤔 This is how the bottom plate looked. I had already got rid of the hinges but still wasn't right So, I went ahead and stripped all the red 2x4 away. This is how the middle panel looks. The connectors were moved down one stud. On the back I added 3x2 plates to connect the panels together. You're going to need a couple of these modified plates And add them here, to that black technic frame. I added a couple of 3x2 plates to the underside for strength. Now time to attach the bottom plate to those clips and after that is done carefully push the plate from the underside to attach to those modified plates (this keeps it flush and straight). After this add some plates to that black technic frame to enable the attachment of @ClassicLook engine mod. Now when you add the engine mod you can see it is flush with that baseplate. I didn't have enough 1x2 light greyish blue plates but you would add these all along the bottom and the engine mod will sit perfect 👌🏼
  7. I have a solution for excluding the gap between engine and bottom plates! But I don't know how to attach more than one image. How do I do that?
  8. That would be superb! Thanks!
  9. Woah, that is a thing of beauty. Would love to see a breakdown of that
  10. Yeah, agree there. Hopefully when I get to that stage I can work out some way of fixing that.
  11. Had my MF in its box for nearly two years (have had lots of 😂) and finally getting round to starting it. The main mod I am looking to make is to the engine. I'm getting rid of the tubes and using what I believe is @ClassicLook engine mod. However, what is the method used to remove the sag and bulge above and below the engine? I have looked through the whole thread and where it is mentioned it just doesn't seem clear 🤷🏻‍♂️
  12. Whooop! Well, I will be first in the queue. I've already done the cowling mod and I think the cockpit mod along with my 3 seat console would make it complete.
  13. @Sebeus I wowzers! What a mod!!! I have just finished my build of this awesome set and have already started on modding my cockpit in order to house 3 minifigs. Not sure I will bother with the crew section below. REALLY want to implement the mods you made in relation to the bed area and gateway leading through to it. I can see roughly what pieces I need but would love to see more in the way you implemented it. Any chance of more shots with cockpit removed so I can see how this was done? If you ever think of making a pdf guide available I would gladly pay!
  14. Thanks for the responses and glad to hear I should have no problem getting this set at some point. Really blew me away when I saw it. Also saw the Ecto 1 that day, and although that is also on my wishlist, the Delorean is first for me.
  15. Not been on here for a long time! Son fell out of love with Lego and I couldn't afford to buy any of the ones I was interested so moved on (making music has consumed my free time!). However, after a trip to the shops I spotted this in the window and knew I HAD to have it. However, none in store and none online (apart from the usual eBay sellers). Do any of you knowledgeable eurobrickers know the likelihood of this being made again? I have activated the email reminder from Lego store and noted that it stated 'temporarily' out of stock but I want this sooooooo bad!
