Ahhh, sweet, I was planning on doing this for myself so I wouldnt have to spend a million dollars on them! :-P One thing I might suggest, if you put a bit of sculpty on the insides where theres space not needed so when it gets casted its more solid so the sides wont break. (I got pics of a clone helmet im doing, if you need pic refrence to know what im talking about) -Aaron

Howdy folks! I just got some sculpty the other day, never really thought about getting it before to do stuff with and I didn't actually buy the sculpty ;-) , the stuff I got was just a little tiny bit I had gotten from a friend so I could cast a piece she made, so I started playing around with it today for a bit and I had an idea to make a Twi'lek headpiece, so I fiddled with it a bit, working around with it ect, after a half hour to an hour later I got this. X-D Its still sorta a WIP as you can tell, I need to smooth things out in a few places and do a little bit more "sculpting" around the connection of the head tails to the head part. This morning I was telling oo7 about a lego dream I had last night, then he gave me this. I seem to dream sets that arent real :-P last night I dreamed this cool new castle set, It had a princess, one undead, and one crown soldier, and the crown soldier was in a little cage, I could prolly make one, and the skeleton was pulling it like a rickshaw, and the princess had one of those cool castle visors, and she was riding on a white horse. X-D no lies, I dream lego and i remember if I do and what I do dream. -Aaron

:-D I used to be such a WWII nut/nerd, so I dont really need "historical accuracy tips" I think, but I did take out some of the brit helmets I had,and used them for refrences. Ah, I didnt really figure you had heard of Jared :-P but any hoo heres the rebel trooper decal, and I made a Tantive IV vig awhile back with a couple of them. -Aaron

Well Nate, the smiley face and the chin strap is one whole decal, it comes with the Rebel Trooper decal from Jared Burk's decal site, and that one I used there has a regular smiley face and the one with the chin strap, because im going to try and make a chin strap decal for the top of the helmet. And PPE, yeah, i have an account there, Paul always begged me to come over there and such but it never appealed to me too much:-P Starwars4J - I was planning to angle the helmet by doing that in the head socket, but last time i tried that it was a futile attempt, and same for sculpty, didnt look too good, so im gonna stick with this design. EDIT, oh and i forgot to say that Kevin Salm of ABP Bricks might "retail" the British soldier figures im going to make a few months from now. Surprising! Kev despises minifigures and all minifigure parts, I wouldn't have ever expected someone like him to like the helmet X-D -Aaron

Ah, forgot the ref pic!, but it wasn't the only refrence I had, i used to collect 1/6th scale action figures and a big part of my collection is british troops and such, so I used some of the helmets from those as refrences. and i did use a KK1 helmet :-P -Aaron

Actually yes :-P , when I was younger two of my friends and me decided to start a Mini Orchestra me the violin, my friend Tomas - the cello, and Joshy the trombone ,as you can imagine it didnt quite work out with three kids X-D now we just play guitar,base,drums, and video games together :-D and we have our little three person band named "The Mini Orchestra" hehe but of course its only me that will use the account, Thomas and Josh aren't "LEGO Nerds" like me, theyre another breed of "nerd" marvel nerds heh -Aaron

Yar i is! not yet, me no like to show my creations before theyre doned X-D :-P so I guess if i wanted to do my own sails I could go down to office max, buy some of that printing paper you use to make your own t-shirts, print the designs on the paper, spray some thin but large thread count fabric with stiffiner, iron on the design, then use? :-/ :-D sounds good to me! -Aaron
