Mafia School: The Witchbreed Day III
Wuntin replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, you are being lynched because you haven't said anything useful. Facing that, you decide to vote for the only person who we can all agree is town. Was that supposed to convince us that you're a townie? Vote: Master Hale (halomaster96) -
Mafia School: The Witchbreed Day III
Wuntin replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well done, Skip! An accusation built on a reasonable argument and backed up with a vote. What have the rest of you managed to produce? Two half-arsed suspicions, an accusation that can't be revealed, one set of statistics with accompanying suspicion of everyone, one misconception, a whole lot of silence and a vote based on the thoroughly convincing "I've got a feeling" argument. I want you to ask uncomfortable questions! I want you to point fingers! I want you to cast votes! I want to see solid arguments! I want to see seven of you go "Hey, those two look rather suspicious..." Not pointing fingers? Not casting votes? Not providing arguments? Then you're running the risk of having that thing you're obviously not using replaced with a light pearl gray flail come nightfall... Ugh, you people are hard to please. Store's closed. -
Mafia School: The Witchbreed Day III
Wuntin replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That certainly was a night to remember. I'm very surprised to see another non-witchbreed killer out there, but whoever it was: Good job! You, sir, should seriously consider joining our dear boy King in his lessons with the abacus. There are ten of us still, not nine. Which would (most likely) make it two witchbreed, one independent and seven townies. Buy your classic black bowler hat today! Tomorrow, they may be out of style... -
I vote: Gilly Wooks (GingerWookie). I agree with Franklin's arguments and Gilly's lynch will see me alive through the day. Currently, I have the most votes, however. If you are serious about keeping me alive, please consider changing your votes. Stylish leather bracelets with inter-connecting chain! Limited supply!

As Cecily says, I responded to a similar statement from you earlier, but here it is again: My win condition is not to be the last man standing. My win condition is to be alive when either the town or the witchbreed win. If you read through the records of historical witchbreed infestations in our library, you'll find that this change to the serial killer win condition is not at all uncommon in our lands. I would start with the latest Baritone incident. Not forgetting; disregarding. I highly doubt there would be both a serial killer and a vigilante in a basic situation with only 17 people. If there was a vigilante out there, however, would two be so bad? If he was killed, would a replacement be so bad? That is, of course, a possibility. I can only promise not to betray the town and hope that you find me trustworthy. I agree, she should not be persecuted based on my suspicion alone. Nor will I target her tonight If I'm allowed to live. Coming forth with the information, however, does not exclude the possibility that she is witchbreed. Thick leather aprons for sale; one size fits all!

I thought it was obvious who I killed? I am the killer that does not look like a witchbreed; I killed Cuslo Mizzle. I killed him because I thought the "Remember, the witchbreed don't know each other" thing was a ploy to look like a newbie townie. I think I've made most of my case already, but here's a little math experiment to consider: If I were out of the equation, one suspected-witchbreed would die each day (the lynchee) and one townie would die each night (the witchbreed night-kill). With me still alive, I would add one suspected-witchbreed death for each day+night cycle. That is one suspected-witchbreed more for each confirmed townie. My presence would also add the possibility (probability?) that the witchbreed night-kill is not a townie, but me. I haven't suggested any potential witchbreed because - I don't know any more than the rest of you. - I didn't think anyone would listen to me. Since you're asking, these are my current top suspects: - I still find Voltana Panana suspicious. Her reaction to my finger- pointing yesterday was confused and flustered. - It seems to me that Gilly Wooks speaks quite a lot without actually saying anything. Even though these are my current suspicions, if the choice of victim is left to me I will of course listen to others' suggestions - both in public and in private. Even if you've made up your minds to lynch me today, listen to Christos. There are still four witchbreed hiding out there and spending a whole day without getting closer to sniffing them out is a waste of a day. Silk and satin underwear! Replace those linen rags today!

I am saying: Lynching me will not further the town's goal of killing witchbreed. I can prove my serial killer role the next time I kill. As a serial killer, I can be helpful to the town. Not quite true. My win condition is to be alive when either the town or the witchbreed win. I'm perfectly happy winning together with as many townies as possible. I can understand that you're afraid many townies will die by my hand so I'm open to agreeing on a procedure for choosing my victim. I could kill the person with the second highest vote count, effectively making it a second lynch. I could take my orders from a confirmed townie, if one emerges. Any other reasonable suggestions. If I am killing suspected witchbreed - just like a vigilante would - then the question turns from "Will you waste a lynch on a non-witchbreed?" to "Will the witchbreed waste a night-kill on a non-townie?" Wooly hats! Several colours! Black, grey, dark grey, lighter grey...

I would say you cannot know whether I am telling the truth or not. Today. You can know after the next death by bludgeoning, though. I'll leave a little note under everyone's door with the name of my victim - before the body has been found. I have a small supply of long-sleeved calfskin gloves for sale. Soooo soft...

That is correct. I am also not witchbreed. "What does that leave?", some of you may ask. Your friendly neighbourhood serial killer, of course. Next, you may ask "Why shouldn't we kill you anyway? You're still not a townie." Because of two things: 1. Whether I live or die does not change whether the town or the witchbreed win. That is all about the number of townies and the number of witchbreed. 2. Consider the difference between me and a Vigilante. They can only win with town, but also count as a townie in calculating whether the witchbreed have won. I can win with either side and do not count as a townie. If you let me live, I'll be just as vigilantly looking for witchbreed as a vigilante would be. Would you lynch a vigilante? Would the witchbreed want to kill a vigilante? I applaud the investigator on their choice of messenger. Keep in mind, though, that they are not a "confirmed" townie until I turn up witchbreed. Fine ermine-lined robes for sale! Buy our King an early birthday present!

You saw what? If you meant "revealed", that would make more sense. "No, I revealed it because I thought only townies had pieces" Yes, that statement by itself would have convinced me to look elsewhere for now. Unfortunately, you continued speaking. What does "marked by the Witchbreed" mean? Yes, that is my point. Anyone can have a piece of the puzzle - including the witchbreed. Waving yours around when there's a chance people will believe only townies have them, however... Yes, we are all grasping at straws. Some of us are acting on the straws that our eyes deem to have the wrong colour. What would you rather have us do? Nothing? Fall into mindless sheep mode behind somebody else? I know who'd love that. I'm sorry, your response has not convinced me that you are not witchbreed. Fine riding crops. Genuine leather; superb craftsmanship. On sale today!

An interesting theory, and I'll admit I've entertained thoughts in the same direction. There are, however, two problems with this theory: - There are 17 of us, not 16. Less four, that's thirteen townies. Looking at the puzzle, I would be very surprised if there weren't twelve pieces. The numbers don't add up. - If it were this easy and all pieces were revealed, what would happen? The five people without pieces would be unable to convince us not to lynch them and the town would only need to wait four (or five?) days to be rid of all the witchbreed. Yes, they would kill a townie per night, but that's not enough for them to win - they need townies to be lynched as well. Ignoring our dear King's exercises with the abacus, what's the next thing to happen after Zam proposed his theory? You held on to your piece this long; I wonder what made you decide to reveal it. Did you think we would accept this theory as truth and saw an easy way to "prove" yourself a townie? I think you did. Vote: Voltana Panana (volcanicpanik). This just in! Fancy shirts from a far away place. I believe they're called Ha'wayan shirts.

I have assembled the puzzle pieces revealed so far: The visible text looks like: Th__ _re four _f t__ Witchbreed With just a little bit of imagination, it seems plausible that the complete message is: There are four of the Witchbreed I guess it doesn't help much today, but in a few days it may be good to know whether there's one or two witchbreed left. Assuming, of course, that the message is correct and the witchbreed - despite their name - cannot actually breed. Hi, I'm selling these fine leather jackets...
-
Mrs. Darth, I'm not sure what to make of you. Naive, reckless townie or deviously fiendish Witchbreed godmother - which is it? Assuming for a moment that you are indeed a townie, would you indulge us with a few more details of this grand plan of yours? Let's also assume that the investigator investigates you tonight and comes to the conclusion that you're a townie. How is he supposed to tell the rest of us? When he does, why should we trust him? I would love to be proven wrong, but I cannot see how this could turn out well for us. Newly arrived: frilly white shirts. Only two gold for a five-pack!

It certainly seems like Cuslo has the top part of chbr but there has to be more than just "The Witchbreed". Doesn't it look like Zam has the top of an f ? Black leather boots? I know someone needs 'em...

Indeed, let's stir the pot and see what bubbles to the surface. No, I offered to sell you fur coats. Higher markup on those than the untreated furs, you see. When it comes to skinning, I don't have the stomach to do that myself and even if I did, I doubt humans would make very warm furs. I found this crate of green dresses, last year's style. Half price; any takers?

Witchbreed here, in the midst of King Oliver's court? Outrageous! Tread lightly, my friends. The one you revelled with last night may well turn out to be your death tomorrow. Incidentally, anyone interested in a new fur coat?

Gingeroono looked scummy "rushing to vote", so you rushed to vote. What does that say about you? It seems very probable that Gingeroono will be lynched today - he's got an overwhelming amount of votes and isn't even putting up a fight. Yet, when someone wonders about your behaviour and casts a vote for you (one vote - that's not anywhere close to your lynching) you feel the need to immediately lash out and accuse your accuser? You're starting to look raaather scummy. -

Mafia School: Cirque du Freak: Day 1
Wuntin replied to badboytje88's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I find it amusing that we're barely four hours into the 48 hour long voting period and eight of us have already voted for Gingeroono... for being quick to vote. Quick to vote or no, I'm more concerned with the way he did it. Stephanie said that the suspicions raised against Barnabo weren't really convincing but if that's all we had at the end of the day, she would probably vote for him. She ended her thoughts with: Next to speak is Gingeroono, supposedly agreeing with Stephanie then doing the exact opposite of what she said: Gingeroono, why would you vote for Barnabo if you agree that there's no real reason to do so yet? -
