General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Red Bricks replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
I believe that it will return alongside the fifth movie (Which has been confirmed ) So we can hope to see more from POTC in the future -
British Rule!!!! I love this, I agree that the POTC Officer's coat is great!
-
Well, I suppose it had to happen at some point... But why like this?!

Now that there is more high resolution pictures it looks much better then it did before, but which one is better: Queen Anne's Revenge or the Pearl?

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Red Bricks replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'd like to think that the theme can carry on, even though I loved it, can we all agree that it really wasn't as popular as we could hope?.. and with so many licenced themes out there POTC hasn't really lived up to their names... Just a though -
Perhaps it is Fenrir Greyback?
-
No, It's pretty much just a bone, Look:

Thought this might be a good reference to the available colours: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogColors.asp?itemType=P&itemNo=30374&v=2

I would always say that Voldemort should have the cream wand that Dumbledore has in 4842, As his wand is creamy-white in the films and if you use the white then it just sort of looks wrong with his skin I must admit that I did use the Harry Potter Wiki when I was comparing all my LEGO wands to see which matches the Elder Wand the best I agree, I would recommend this site to anyone, Great pictures and as much Harry Potter knowledge as J.K Rowling's Pen!

Hi, I have looked around this part of the forum to check that this hasn't been done yet, if it has then delete or merge it, or whatever I was thinking the other day that this would make a good subject: Which LEGO wand goes best with which LEGO Minifigure? I'll start up the subject with a character that I thought would be a good place to begin. In set 4842, Dumbledore is equipped with a creamy colour wand, but, as a few may of noticed, this looks nothing like the Elder Wand, In my opinion I think he should be equipped with the dark orange wand that appeared with the Professor Lupin minifigure in 2004 What do you think? Love to hear which wand you think suits the characters, and do you think the TLG have made mistakes with the wands that are given to a certain character? Bye!

That on the 5-7 box art is way too big to be Nagini, but it can't really be the Basilisk, as that is only in Chamber of Secrets, unless you count DH Part 2 when it's body is still in the chamber

This made me re-watch that scene I think you pretty much covered every part possible, great job with that, looking forward to seeing some more
-
Have you seen the gameplay of one of the levels? If not then here is a link for it: Enjoy!
-
I tell you something years 5-7 needs, it will be the most useful spell after Wingardium Leviosa, Protego! On years 1-4 you couldn't protect yourself against spells and it would be great to be able too, Anyone agree?

I never though much about this castle before until now, great review!

This actually made me smile Nicely done, good luck in the contest!

Slug & Jiggers Apothecary + The Daily Prophet's main office
Red Bricks replied to Orejon8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Are you going to get this in bricks?! -
Now THIS is why they call it the GREAT wall of China!
-
Love it! I would normally use Henry Jones Sr.'s suit for the doctor but I have to say that looks much better! Well done!
-
Well let's face it, the theme had only just started out, they hadn't had much experience with it and after 10 years they would surely make it much better than before?
-
The candle method; can anyone clarify that that will work? Sounds like the option that damages the minifigure the least, just need to be sure that it works...
-
This is a great idea, they could make A WHOLE series of extensions so the hogwarts sets can either be 1) more enjoyable and 2) if you don't want the whole series you can just collect the bits that you want. The only thing is, 4842 is designed so it's exterior looks like the real Hogwarts, so maybe too many extensions would ruin the look, but I really hope they make something like your idea!

Madam Malkins! It would be a great way for the TLG to introduce genuine Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw Uniforms. Features: Shop, till, stand for customer to be measured on, clothes hanger, with Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff uniforms on, draws; possibly with money inside, various other wizardry clothing; such as hats and cloaks. Minifigures: Harry Potter; in muggle clothing, Draco Malfoy: In casual clothing, Madam Malkin; Willie Scott hair. Price: £20-25
