  1. I agree. Its amazing all the things that can be done with modern parts, but I do love the old stuff. Simple, functional. Like square pistons.
  2. Here is another older one (something like 1978-1980). This hails from the instructions of the 8860 Auto Chassis (there may be other references to it). Its an amalgamation of sets 950, 955, 870, 871. I needed something to pick up with the crane, Classic Space to the rescue!
  3. Serves me right for posting at night. You're right.
  4. First topic. Mostly a lurker. Its not new, or shiny, but it brings back fond memories for me. From the Ideas Book 8888. Something to keep me busy while I wait for parts for other projects. Mostly original, a few slightly yellowed, a few are new. Just for fun, I included a comparison with a 42009. Technic has come a long way since 1980.
  5. I've never explored product photography. My understanding is that it needs/works best with a "lighting setup" and I have a single flash that I'm not very good with yet (for quite a while, I was limited to no-flash photography, either because I didn't have one, or the venue didn't allow flash). PepperoniBricks...Now I'm hungry and want to play with Legos...
  6. Hello, I'm Louis, from the US. I've been dabbling in Lego since the early '80s. I like most things Lego and enjoy sneaking technic capability into all kinds of models. I sometimes do photography and computer security. Computer Site, Hobbies Site, Photography Site
