  1. There's been a lot of give-aways/raffles lately, but I'm not complaining! Sign me up.
  2. Sign me up, you never know if you'll win. Also, it's FREE.
  3. I've always pictured that it would be fun if I downloaded my Lego Digital Designer Warthog into the game, found two friends, and drove around shooting up n00bs. Of course that won't happen, because that's not exactly the best way to encourage new players/buyers of lego. I just hope TCL finds a way to make it both entertaining, and find a way to make sure it stays new and exciting instead of becoming stale and boring. If there is a subscribtion free, I most likely won't play, because no offense, but as much as I like Lego, there are better MMORPG's out there and I will just carry on with real LEGO.
  4. I would like to join. My parents are at the point where they think "Lego's should become a collection now, not something to "play" with" so I'll try to get three sets from my tubs.
  5. I actually just posted mine on here yesterday, here's a link to it. As for instructions, I'll check my LEGO.com account and see if I can get the link. Thread: LDD Warthog EDIT *I couldn't attach the LDD file to this post, so I'm not sure how you would go about getting instructions (it's not approved yet). I hope I've helped.
  6. I'm not that big a fan of Halo, I just LOVE the design of the Warthog itself. I was testing LDD for the first time so I choose a model that I'm at last a little familiar with (I've made a few out of real bricks). I think the approval is just a matter of finding a way to show people its the Warthog from Halo, but also avoiding using trademarked terms so TLC allows it (as of now, they don't approve of models that are from licenses). The last thing I would want is for LEGO to get in trouble so I might just take out "Warthog" and find a new name for it, but people could still buy it if they were looking for one. Thanks for the comment and help.
  7. Yeah, a lot of those ones are very good. I tried to make it pretty accurate, but keep the main idea simple, so the price wouldn't be outrageous. Also, LDD has a rather small library of Green parts, and a lot of the parts that would be ideal for SNOT techniques aren't in Green/Grey (on LDD at least). Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you like it. EDIT: Now that I look at it, there's not too many studs. The only ones that stick out are the seats, hood, and the two bars on the top. Also the steps, but I did that on purpose. I know it's not SNOT, but it's pretty smooth overall.
  8. That's a very nice throne room ya got there. I like the gold pieces and the random Star Wars elements. It's also cool how it has hinges to show more of itself without disassembling. I don't have any suggestions as far as building goes, very nice.
  9. Made this a few weeks ago with LDD. I thought it turned out pretty good. I would've used the "suspension method" but you really can't with LDD. The only part I see that stands out as "bad" is the front, but it's such a hard shape to create with LEGO let alone LDD. It's also a pain because some parts that would REALLY help aren't in LDD, such as 1x1 Dark Grey plates and the hinge plates in the seat (wish they had them in black). I decided not to include mini-figs because... 1) It would increase the cost 2) No LDD mini-fig combination matches either Master Chief or a soldier. The model itself is *only* $22.39 which I think is fair considering the size of the model and some of the special parts in it (windshield, blasters, wheels/tires, ect). Accessories in the model include: 2 "megaphone" blasters and 1 Walkie-talkie (on the "roof"). There's a few printed tiles in the cockpit and the turret moves. Pic for Comparison Please leave comments and constructive criticism. Also, as of right now, it violated a rule for the Factory Gallery and is not displayed. I took out Halo in the discription and hope it will be approved now. Any hints on how to make sure it is accepted would be nice. -Guurahk101
  10. That sounds odd, having sets like the Cafe Corner, that showcase AFOL-influenced designs is one thing, but every set like that? When I was a little kid, I once considered a job as a set designer, darn their secretiveness. :-P
  11. I have all my instructions in a box in my closet, and all my boxes (from 2003 on, when I decided to start saving the boxes) in my closet or under my bed. I put all the smaller boxes in the larger ones, then inside the largest ones. It saves a TON of space too. But I am only human, if I have a more than one of a set (Really only Crossbow Attack recently, if it's a tiny one, or from a Polybag I throw them away.
  12. "This is even more distressing when you consider that young fans in that period simply weren't able to collect a sufficient collection of basic bricks to adequately MOC" That's me, I collected lego from 1996-2002 when I was younger (back when it was easier to buy Lego with my allowance :-P ), and half my collecton is useless. |-/ I'm trying to build a large castle, but I simply don't have enough grey bricks for it. I can't really order from Bricklink either. But after 2003ish, quality started to improve, and I got a MASSIVE collection from Ebay that had mostly 80's-early 90's lego so that definately helped. Still can't make a town though, because all the town sets I collected were from 1997-2000, so even though I spent the same as I would today, I got much less, insted of plates and axel pieces, I have single one piece car bases. So I agree, the main problem with juniorization, is people can't moc with the same freedom with those pieces compared to someone who has "real" sets. An example is again, those one-piece car bases, you can turn axels and wheels into very simple jet engines, but not when they're attached to the base of the car, which has to be a CAR. :-|
  13. I'm pretty sure I have that "Technic Ball" in red, I think I got it from one of those "Bionicle Tubs". Do you mean those 1x4x2 Windows with clear screens that are stuck to the frame? If so, I picked up a tub with about 20 red ones, and a few of the 1x2x2 one's at a yard sell a few years ago. I use them for TV's (that are red). Musical instruments would be awsome, proper drumsticks would kill less 1x4 rods. :'-( I'd want a Magic Staff mould, not gigantic or anything, but something that can't be made with existing elements. Also, I'd like moulds of video game consoles, like a Wii, 360, DS, ect. It'd be nice for house-mods, but it couldn't be done without licenses. :'-( So we'll have to live with brick-built ones. Also, Link's (From legend of Zelda series) hat would be awsome, since green bandanas don't exist, or are hard to come-by. Finally, the "coat" Arc-trooper 's wear around their waist and legs.
  14. I just bought 4996 'Beach House' at Target, but it was missing the "main model" instruction booklet, and ALL of the Doors and 1x4x6 windows. :'-( But I exchanged it just today, so now my 6 Crownies from my 3 "Catapult Attack" sets have a nice place to stay until I go home to my dad's. They even sacrificed their catapults to make furniture. I'm not sure if it was a production error or not though, the box had a couple "white spots" on it from what looks like tape tear, and the tape that kept it shut had some lint or something in them. Also, 3 of the bags were slashed open. But if someone took them and returned it, why not the green 16x32 baseplate, and the simi-rare Chicken piece? *wacko* All that matters is it's all good now. By the way, it's a great set . *y*
  15. Welcome to Eurobricks.
  16. Hi and welcome to Eurobricks, tis a silly place. I lurked for 7 months before joining =P
  17. Thanks for the replies. I originally got the idea for the hands when messing around with a Rahaga model. I love the color green *wub* . It's rarely used in bionicle creations, so I decided to make one. I'm didn't get annoyed for losing the BBC, you know BZP "0MG, 1t'5 got L4z0rs, sW33t!" (kidding). Thanks again for replying, I hope to continue my Eurobricks experience.
  18. I like how they are currently doing it. Civilian cars being 4 wide, trucks being 6, and semi's/rocketplatformvehicles being 8 wide =P I do miss the classic charm of 4 wide vehicles though. But I must admire the details of 6 wides.
  19. Nice to meet you, I'm a Zelda junkie too. :-D Never Knew the Minish had a bliblical history either lol Look forward to enjoying your company.
  20. I think most names past 2005 are completely out there. It's like they let someone shake their fingers really fast on a keyboard or something. I miss the good old days of Lewa, or Vorak, but once some island nation sues, you can't go back. Also, Lego has to use names that aren't copyrighted which can be a pain sometimes. I used to post on BZP, but lately it's just been different from what I can remember. I also PM'd Greg on BZP, nice guy, answered my questions to the best of his ability. I haven't read his writtings though, which seems to be his umm...downfall according to this board. Sorry I'm lowering the above Average age.... (sincerely)
  21. Ok I get it, and thanks for fixing the link on my other thread, I made it before I read your helpful comment. And hope all your halloween mishaps are improving =P, I've been reading old threads, quite fun.
  22. More of the same, which is a good thing. The drop ship looks great, and wouldn't stand out in any Lego isle. I like the tank and mobile turrent, but I think the wheels would be different on a "real" set, designs are very nice though. I think the turrent/base is a little strange looking, but the "ugly rock peices" definately feel "Lego". Overall, exellent, and I think the scythe fits in well. Can't wait for the Rouge Knight sets.
  23. This is a Bionicle MOC I made around 2005 with parts from that time. I entered it in a BZPower BBC and failed miserable, but it did impress my friends =) (I'm not sure if this'll work or not, I"m new to this whole imaging thing) Link Thanks SW4J, and I see the code now. I thought you literally meant url=website lol. Edit by SW4J: Fixed the link for ya
  24. Thank you StarWars, I'm trying to do a link from Brickshelf, and it isn't working.... *thisisthetitle*[/http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/shadowrahkshi101/bbc31/moc1.bmp] Is that how you code the first one, or is it done differently?
  25. I"m relatively new here (posting wise). I'm just wondering how to embed or link a picture into your post? (such as pictoral reviews and links for MOCs) I know about direct-linking from brickshelf, just want to know if there's a code you put in your post, or a button to tag it. Or if it has anything to do with the file-attachment. Thanks, Guurahk101
