legobodgers replied to Darth_Legois's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I was just at TRU innaloo Perth and they had series 5 minifigures! The minifigures were $4.99 with a 20% discount which made them cheaper than you could get them from overseas including postage. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
legobodgers replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The Barris Offee minifigures in the Geonosian Cannon seems to be redesigned to be more in line with the other Clone Wars minifigures. On the other hand, I am loving the ARC trooper. -
So have I, I really hope that it is in a rare colour and not just because I want more sand red. My museum is very greek inspired and is almost all white so if the town hall is another colour they will not look strange next to each other. I hope that made sense

Probably because it is a prelim picture. I hope it is because I want a few of the new firemen without spending much on the bigger sets.

Has anyone noticed the Sai that the white ninja is holding in the airship set? It looks awesome! These pictures may have convinced my to buy some Ninjago sets. EDIT: Sorry I didn't see that MantaMan had beaten me to it.

I'm loving the new dinosaurs I have been looking for a good raptor design and I have not found a great one on an accurate scale. No disrespect to the builders, I don't think it is possible on that scale. These raptors fairly accurate if a bit strangely coloured and the Pteranadon looks like it on the same scale as the skeleton I built recently. The tranq guns also look great, I have been wanting a tranquilliser gun for quite a while now and these will be perfect for Primeval MOCs as will the dinosaurs. I hope the HQ will be as good as the other sets in the wave. With this line, the great pieces in the new ninjago line and the forrest ranger sets next year is going to be an expensive one.

Amorith strolls into the marketplace with his 10 gold coins, his first stop is at Gnomeo's Toolshed. "Good day sir dwarf" "I'm a Gnome, hence Gnomeo's Toolshed. Nyeh" "Sorry good Gnome, may I buy a Bedroll" "Buy whatever you want, nyeh dwarf nyeh" Amorith lays down 5 gold coins in exchange for a bedroll. Amorith's next stop was at Portia's Potion shack. "Hullo milady, may I buy a potion?" "Of course, good sir." Wondering why this strange old man was talking funny Amorith pays her 5 Gold for a Potion Now Amorith has no more money but he has a comfy bedroll and a strengthening potion.

Amorith stopped in front of the entrance into the fabled Heroica Hall, many a great hero had gone through these doors to fame and fortune but many had also been lost in the mists of time. He gathered his courage and stepped into Heroica Hall. Immediately a great wave of noise hit him, Amorith was a quiet elf and disliked loud noises but he steeled himself with the thought that soon he could be helping the citizens of the great Eubric port. He walked up to the quest board and saw that two quests were open, he read through both of them and while quest 5 sounded great he was certaintly no great fighter, not yet, at any rate. Quest 4 sounded more to his liking though and he saw that they were looking for mages. So he signed up for Quest #4 Taming the Lions Looking around for company he walked up to Scheherazade's saloon and sat down at one of the benches...

I don't know... any Primeval customs here ?
legobodgers replied to Lord Starkiller's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Sorry about the double post but I have updated my future predator, the original was OK but it looked more like a skeleton than a living animal, also the legs were the wrong way round. This revision started out as just turning around the legs and the rest flowed from there. The legs use mostly use the same pieces, the back started when I tried to strengthen it. I would use light bley hands but I do not have any. The back legs are held on by a 3L length of flex tube. The head is from a space police 3 set. Thank you for looking comments and constructive criticism are welcome. -
Hi, I am making a lego modular town and I would like to have some Primeval characters in it going to an anomaly. Specifically Abby, Conner, Helen Cutter (This outfit) and Captain Becker/ security team faces and torso's but I would also love any other primeval characters. I like LuxorV's custom Primeval figures but I would prefer more accurate decals. Here is a site with reference pictures. Thank you in advance.

Isn't the cat in the pet shop the same print as Mrs Norris in 4842 Hogwarts castle? I wonder if it will be anything like the town hall in 10184 town plan as I like the design of that town hall and a dark green building would be very very useful.

Here are my current Primeval MOC's. I am using them in my modular town in the basement of a museum. This is my future predator, it is very skeletal but I am happy with it because of its scale, it is fairly accurate to minifigure scale. The head is the Space Police 3 Skull Twins head. It is not perfect but I think that it conveys the look of a Future Predator. This is my anomaly, it is quite delicate but it holds up fine. Since its position is fixed I have added two light bricks with unobtrusive buttons on the other side of the wall. The person down the bottom right is a guard being mauled by the future Predator. Constructive criticism and comments are welcome. -

Great custom characters, they have the perfect faces. The only thing that I don't like is Abby's hair. It is the best hair available but I think that it doesn't quite look like abby. I'll upload my future predator later today. -

I also love Primeval I just made a future predator for a museum MOC that I am making at the moment. I would be very interested to see your versions. Are you still planning on making the Primeval MOCs? -
I'm pretty sure that those blonde hair pieces represent hay. Beautiful MOC I would buy it if it was a set.

Funny, I've never actually thought about this, I have just said M.O.C and ay-fol. I'm new to the wider world of lego (Eurobricks, Bricklink, conventions, ect) so I too have never heard them pronounced by anyone other that myself and my family. I first hears MOC as mock today and I think it sounds strange because it is already a word. Saying, I'm working on a new mock to someone who is not a Lego fan would be more confusing that saying M.O.C as M.O.C is evidently an acronym. Also, if someone put moc in front of my and told me to pronounce it as a word, I would pronounce it moss. Each to his own I guess.

I still cannot believe that this years padme is the first since 1999, 12 years ago. I think that TLG's reason for not including her in sets is younger children would prefer an exiting jedi rather than a senator

Great combination of smooth sections and greebling. I especially love the pearl gold claw attached to the classic star wars cannon. It's like the more you look the more there is to see. You should defiantly win the contest.

sonicstarlight There is a white bike in the new police station and I have an old broken black bike. But still, a bicycle shop would be awesome.

I was just IN hospital and this looks just the same AND even though I hated it in there, a few days afterwards I still like your MOC when I have been growling at anything to do with hospitals in the last few days.

I actually like this design for the paint roller, I prefer it when LEGO uses existing pieces in unusual and inventive ways to a new mould. Of course I was as happy as anyone with the new moulds in the collectable mini figures series.
