It would be awesome if the dumb battery box could just be used on its own and/or with the white powered up controller!. -

I think I agree there. For example, lego just released some water slide tube pieces, they are great because instead of us being forced to attach them at pretty much 0 degrees using plates on top, they lock together in themselves and can be rotated at any angle then attached to a base plate with, say, plates and hinges and they fit inside of 1x6 arch bricks/inverted arch bricks too - clever part design. So, if lego makes the mixing drum consisting of 6 pieces, it is more flexible with the whole lego system but costs more to make and isn't as strong. So I hope it is in 6 pieces -

Thanks @jb70 Im sure that the space between the front and rear axles is smaller than in the bugatti which might have been intentional to give it a better turning circle. Or, it just looks like its smaller because of the 11x15L frame. I also noticed that the chassis when doing box1 is actually a little more minimalist than the bugatti which means lego is finally starting to listen to me *YEY*. It also means it is easier to add more stuff to it in a MOD. i'm working on making the chassis even simplier still as a digital model. Regards, Snipe.

Here we go: It's a little more flimsy than before but starting out simple is key if you wanna have lots of functions in a model, you can pack it with structural parts later on though this is not the only way to do it and some people start with making the structures strong first though you can kinda do that already now without thinking too much thanks to the technic frames, biscuit joints and technic baseplates. LDR FILE edit: OOPS, I forgot to make the red axles black lol. might fix later as well as fix the terrible alignment issues in LDCAD. I am also trying to find a way of using the knob wheels themselves along with some ratchets instead of using something like a #2 connector externally. This should save more space. Maybe using some rubber 1x2 beams or some springs placed over an axle. it would be nice if there was just one solution instead of having like 2 steppers in the paddle shifters and 2 steppers in the gearbox like the 42083 bugatti chiron.

Actually those new soft ducatti shocks do have a use in this car but it is a function that has never been done in LEGO before to my knowledge, however the real car as well as most sports/supercars have it: Race/Sport mode. we could use two ducatti shocks and two extra hard shocks per wheel and have a mechanism fo switch which one gets comparessed when the wheel hits a bump! it will also have adjustable tide height too. so: Sport mode = higher ride height + soft suspention. Race mode = lower ride height + hard suspention. You can also manually raise the spoiler for sport mode and lower it for race mode for effect. I think this would be interesting, yes some people will say that it;s not an exciting function but they're wrong :P Also racingbricks made an RC version that has RC drive, steering, door opening, and spoiler but the gearbox and paddle shifter has been removed :( https://www.custombricks.de/CUSTOM-Instructions/Technic-Mocs/41021-EN.html Regards, Snipe.

So, I managed to move the stepper mechanism 1L in, I think if I try to shrink it any more ill make a black hole :P pics soon. Regards, Snipe.

oh I didnt know they were soft shocks. maybe not then idk. Linear Clutches if they are needed just for protection. I still badly feel the urge to put the new diffs in even though they will slow the final gear ratio down a lot... it's just because well, they're a new part which makes the model feel more special. However this topic is not nessecerily a pimp my lambo topic athough a pimped up lambo moc would be nice so you can all make your model how you want it of course Oops lol typo there
-
I made a way smaller 8 speed gearbox than whats in the pimp my bugatti and it has space for a center diff underneath it. Heh they are nicer parts :P and its easier to add a nose lift since the shocks have more mounting options The old shocks are 6.5L also and I've wanted to see something easier to work with for a long time.

I know it's a little early (3 days) but we have been seeing people make replicas and even MOD sets before they have came out so I thought I would make a threat thread to brainstorm some MODs and improvements for this set Here's my 2 cents: New Ducatti shocks on all wheels New differentials from 42109 front and rear Red 4L center differential from 42110 Make the doors open outwards more like on the real car CV joints from 42099 on the differential end of the axles. Linear clutches where necessary from 42100. Adjustable ride height like real car (IDK if it's just a nose life still or full adjustment) And heres the big one: PF motorisation, I think we can learn from recent super car MODs that you can indeed have many features and nice body work as well as cram motors in. And the new frames and biscuit joints will help make more compact mechanisms. If we want manual features too then that's not too hard actually because you just use a 9396 one way clutch mechanism but with 8T gears not 16T, so very small. PF LEDS or lego Night Mode Go Nuts!
