  1. They should! Sólstafir, Pelican, and Neurosis are amazing.
  2. All I can say is... wow. Probably one of the most innovative techniques I've ever seen.
  3. I must say the usage of lime green looks a bit awkward when the rest of the store is yellow, but overall it's looking nice so far nonetheless.
  4. Joo. Perkele!
  5. This is just something random I came up with sometime mid-2009 being struck by boredom. Click the thumbnail for more pictures.
  6. I have considered the thought, adding residences above it like some places in America have condominiums above outdoor shopping centres... it would look nice with some building designs but with one as modern-looking as this I'm kind of doubting how well low-rise condominiums would look on top of it. In particular I don't think residences would look very good against the contrast of a black/white colour theme. Though, thanks for the suggestion - for my next project I'll use that as an excuse to use a different colour scheme ;)
  7. They were... I bought two cupfuls of them in, eh what, 2008? I haven't seen them recently.
  8. I love metal, especially gothic/doom and progressive, and some folk metal. My top 10 are probably as follows: Trail of Tears Opeth Pantheist Stratovarius Tristania Swallow The Sun Moonsorrow Sólstafir Agalloch Anathema I also like some progressive rock. Mainly Genesis, Porcupine Tree and Marillion but there are a few other good ones too.
  9. Nice! The details still stand out despite the downscaling. The escalators in particular are clever.
  10. Thanks. :) I also think the wine bar ended up turning out quite well, I didn't think much of it while the building was in its earlier stages but I'm glad I didn't scrap it.
  11. That's a head of red cabbage
  12. This is a townhouse I made about 3 years ago and is still the one I'm most proud of, probably because it's the first MOC I put on our local LUG display. I made some renovations sometime mid-2009 and it's the version I have today. You may notice the blandness of the outward appearance of the house, especially the front, but that is because I decided to go all out whilst furnishing the interior. ;) Click the thumbnail for more images.
  13. My second MOC after returning from a Lego hiatus. I do plan on detailing the interior like is normally the case with what I have done with my other buildings thus far, but that will come later. Click on the thumbnail for more pictures.
  14. After a long hiatus due to the fact that being a student is quite prohibitive of extracurricular hobbies both financially and temporally, I've somehow managed to have gotten back to MOCing a few weeks ago and this (and another building) is the result of that. Thought I'd jump start my resumption of MOCing by joining a Lego forum :) As is usually the case for me, I chose not to give too much attention to the exterior and instead focus on detailing the interior as much as possible. I'm so far satisfied with the result... Click on the thumbnail for more pictures.
