  1. awesome - thanks a lot for giving me the heads up with this!
  2. Hi, does anyone know (or could possibly measure) what's the weight of the 7946 (2010 Castle) and 7189 (Village Raid) sets? I am from Europe and traveling to North America in July. I would like to make sure I meet the luggage weight limits, or how much spare weight I can still have for additional sets. With these huge sets I am not sure if I can simply multiply the pieces' count with some average weight coefficient and still get it close to the true weight. Thanks
  3. thank you for your tutorial(s) - they are very informative. I am looking forward to the next one.
  4. pekne, ale ten globus je tam trochu anachronismus ;). Fernando Magaliens se vydal na cestu teprve v roce 1519 (a posadka se vratila v roce 1522), da Vinci ve stejnem roce (1519) uz umrel.
  5. the sixth episode was again good. I always like how Brickington is sort of bowing when introducing himself, and the joke with flipping pirates' names was a clever idea, too. It also is a good idea to introduce this bit of suspension at the end of episodes as you had done here, where you don't know what are the Japanese pirates up to now. Will they help or thwart Brickington's mission? Keep it up.
  6. Hi, I am no Pirate pro, but I wonder if you have seen the Master Index thread in this forum: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8875 , section V/Articles, where some very nice guides to different sections (already) exist. Maybe it can provide you with more information. BTW, I have no idea if you are a native speaker of English or not, but 'were' and 'where' are two different words (e.g. 'they were included', not 'they where included').
  7. that was funny. Your diction surely helps as well. I like the torso of the Ice Planet captain - can you please tell me what set is it coming from? thanks

looking at this picture, I think his original beam (not so straight) was closer to what does this real ship have, no?
  9. wunderschön, danke vielmals. I made two more:
  10. thank you for the feedback - I changed the font, I hope it is easier to read now (on the other hand, you have to excuse poor old pirates' writing, guys were not exactly Shakespeares ;)). Yes, I have few more ideas, I hope to set them up soon. I am doing something like this for the first time, and to be honest I am not exactly sure what I am doing - I am just trying to limit the shadows as much as possible, and make it all bright without flash. All I have are two 60W desk lamps, one ??W desk tube lights lamp, and Canon PowerShot A610 (see the setup picture below). I am hardly the first one looking for help - can you please direct me to some tutorial/FAQ or something like that that could help me to improve - so I don't miss it? Any other advice/criticism would be highly appreciated! Thanks.
  11. Hi! I am new, I hope I am posting this in the correct sub-forum. I legolized (or what can be the verb?) few tips for recognizing contemporary pirates I had found in Tom Bowling's book 'A brief history of pirates and buccaneers'. I hope they will amuse you. Let's start:
