  1. thank you all for your suggestions! I will probably order a second XL motor, and remake it from the scratch. Paolo
  2. thank you all for your welcoming! I'll try to embed the video here - not sure it works, I can see it when editing the post, but not in the preview. That's strange. Anyway, I put the extra track link to be able to put the 4 motors in line, like that... I don't know how to make it different (using 4 motors, to give it a little power). But, I think I will order an XL motor, and with the two of them I will rethink it, and it will be much stiff and compact.
  3. good morning to everyone,my name is Paolo and I'm always been fascinated from Lego Technic. I've had many when I was a kid, then I stopped pursuing the "being adult" thing... but last year, when I went into a toy shop to buy a present for my 8 years old nephew, I felt in love with the set 8043 - a RC lego model, that was my fantasy when I was a kid! And, possessing once the 8851 (I think I lost all the bricks), it was something I couldn't resist! Then, I bought some others - 8049 (to see how was the "new" pneumatic), 8258 (a lot of pieces... and a fantastic XL motor), and recently the Unimog - wonderful set, still built.I would like to get more into MOCs, I see there are some incredible engineer in the forum - my compliments to everyone.Personally, I am still switching from the very old way of building (the old, technic bricks), to the new one, which I find very complicated sometimes, but much more durable and stiff. So, the goal is the a Compact track loader like this http://www.directind...2578-51445.html and here you can see a first video of the "basic" structure: 4 M motors... I heightened the motors from the ground, and that was the most complicated task, and now I will proceed thinking and making the rest... but probably, I want to make it with two XL motors, it's much easier to "block" them in the construction, while the M are always moving around when some torque is required. I am not sure if I can ask this in the forum... I'm from Italy, where should I buy another XL motor? Another think. I see a loto of models that doesn't use standard battery pack... If I want to make a big car moving, let's say with two XL motors and a couple of M motors, what should I do? are there some "MOC" battery pack, maybe with LiOn technology? Is it worth to buy the rechargeable batery pack from Lego? I am not sure it is easy to fit in the models... it seems an old concept to me. What do you think? many thanks for any help, you are a great forum and very, very great LEGO builders! Paolo sorry, and very not expert on posting on forums! :-)
