OH!!! I've got it working!!! :) Thanks!! Like you said, I deleted the folder in c:\..\<username>\Application Data\Lego Company and it's working fine!!! It seems this program drops folders in 3 different places...I only deleted them in two other places mentioned earlier. I have no idea what's going on. I can only assume the first time I ever installed it and tried to run it, something went pear shaped which prevented it from running, because I saw the initial screen appear, albeit completely white, then it disappeared after a few seconds, since then nothing. And it's nice to have this spread across two 19" widescreen monitors :)

Hmm....today I installed LDD 4.0 on my Compaq Presario 2100 laptop with winders XP pro and it works...This laptop is several years old, and it generally struggles with 3D stuff, but it ran LDD 4.0 just fine... I've tried again on my dual core super computer and it still won't run. I uninstalled flash player and let LDD 4.0 install it, still nothing. It starts and appears in task manager but nothing else. Do any of the Lego techies read these forums? If so, can we have some sort of response please?

I've given up on LDD. I'm using MLCAD now :)

Thanks for that...I'll look into that as well. All I want is to be able to build something in CAD, then get a parts list and build it for real. :) Holy Cow....now that is sad.... LMAO! Yep, Lego really need to pull finger on this one!!

Thanks for the help. I'm not sure even Lego know what the problem is either! Their 'help' pages are worse than useless. Their only advice for the non starting issue is 'Install the latest graphics gard drivers' (!?) I already have the latest drivers from nvidia (which have openGL in them).

Hi, Yes, yes and yes. The LDD program still does not work. It's not like it's an underpowered PC I have...I'm using it for Remote Sensing and GIS work...4 disk RAID 0+1 setup too! I've installed MLCAD and that's working great...My mate said LDD was <censored> and not to bother using it. Seems he's right. I've been looking on the interweb and it seems a great many people are experiencing this non starting issue. This is a fresh install for me, btw, I've not had any other version of LDD. Think Lego need to pull their fingers out and get it sorted.

I've tried those instructions, but it doesn't work for me. This app is D.O.A. A friend had recommended MLCAD as that's what he uses.

Hi, I have downloaded and installed the LDD 4.0 program. When i click on the desktop shortcut or go via the start menu, nothing happens. I can see LDD.exe appear in task manager, gradually eating up more and more RAM, until it gets to about 500Mb, then disappears. When I click on the icon, i get nothing, nada. not a sausage. My PC specs are: OS: Windows XP Pro Processor: AMD dual core processor 64bit @2Ghz Memory: 2Gb RAM Graphics Card: nVidia Geforce 6200 Zotac 256Mb (And yes, the latest drivers are installed) Any ideas please? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I've deleted the files in c:\documents and settings\ etc. but nothing. The official lego website for this is worse than hopeless.
