A small update (including parts of the mini desk layout!): The missing pieces are mostly in place now. I still want tor redesign the rear bogie (the one with the PF train motor). :-)

Hi guys, having just recently resurfaced from my dark ages, I got set 60098 some time ago and built up a small layout (which, at the moment, merely occupies my desk and isn't even a full loop). In desperate need of a small shunting locomotive I additionally got set 3677 with the idea of shortening the locomotive. My first idea was to build a 3-axle loco, but I soon found out that the proportions would look strange if I didnt want to shorten it even further. So, in the end I decided on a 4-axle construction on 2 bogeys (just like the original 3677 loco). Some pieces are missing, so this is still a work in progress. Hi StukaRT, having just resurfaced from my dark ages I recently acquired set 60098. Lacking a shunter, I got 3677 shortly afterwards with the plan of shortening the loco as you described above. I might get around to it this weekend, so you might see something similar to your LDD-build above in brick-form soon. ;) Best regards
