  1. I wish I had a chance to see them race in person. Maybe in Spa Francorchamps.
  2. I have to adjust the wheels by hand, I'm still working on a solution for that one, but due to the cramped front of the car this proves to very difficult. But I will prevail. And I agree with the 60' and 70's being the most interesting two decades in racing history. Luckily some of the surviving cars are still being raced hard today, look at this sweet gem:
  3. Thank you for explaining the sub forums to me, I have two more vehicular MOCs and I think it would be better to post them in the Model Team section. As for the wheels, yes it does have steering! But not the conventional steering, its what I'd call tilting wishbone steering which allows steering in very tight wheelhouses:
  4. Thank you! Yes, you're correct about the Porsche, whoopsie. As for the special sub forum, I think its a bit of a mistake not to have a place for vehicular MCO's.
  5. The McLaren M8F and the Porsche 917/10 greatly influenced my MOC.
  6. Thank you! Making it as aerodynamically correct as possible was one of my main goals with this MOC.
  7. May I present to you, my first MOC in this forum! (And I forgot to tag this as a MOC, whoops) A large-ish scale model of a 1970's Can-Am race car. The Can-Am Series was a hugely popular north American racing series that lasted from the mid 60's to the late 70's. It featured very lightweight innovative 2-seater open top race cars weighing only around 700-800kg with large V8-V12 engines that produced up to 1500hp. Whats not so widely known is that those cars were often faster than Formula 1 cars back in the day. My creation is a fantasy version, it combines features from several popular cars from that era. About 900 bricks, designed in the LDD. I hope you like it!
  8. Hi, I'm Woldan (this is a nickname of course), I'm 27, from Austria and I've been a LEGO fan since my mother bought me the first bricks when I was just 4.(Which was a large box of basic bricks) Never really stopped building LEGO but in my late teens I was too ''distracted'' to continue with my hobby. However, recently I started buying brick and building models again which is the reason for registering here. Guess I'm an AFOL now. Ah time moves so quick, I still remember my first models and the awesome LEGO catalogs from the early to mid 90's. I remember every single set I ever got, I especially loved the set #6662 backhoe excavator and the set #6481 construction site with the illuminated 9V signs which I got for Christmas way back. Those have got to be one of my fondest childhood memories. And now I'll stop with all the nostalgia before I get all misty-eyed. Anyway, I'm mostly interested in building large® scale vehicles of all manners, some of them minifig-sized, some bigger. Can't wait to share my creations with you, I've already seen a ton of really cool MOCs around here.
