  1. Thanks for all replies. Set 5487 from bricklink is unfortunately from US and I'm from Europe. However, I continued research and found out that right now best sets with 2x bricks are available in educational sets from LEGO. The best I think is 45020 that offers 1000 bricks for around 50-60€ (depends on re-seller). In pick a brick situation, when I choose only 2x bricks I get around 200-300 bricks for 50€, which makes it expansive in comparison to sets. @Davee - it doesn't matter how old the set is, it is still LEGO :) However, older sets are hard to find and many times because of their rarity, the price for such sets are higher than it was once they were released.
  2. I am looking for some LEGO set, that contain the highest amount of lego bricks 2x2, 2x3, 2x4, 2x6 and 2x8. The best that I found yet is "Fun with LEGO bricks - 5487" set, but unfortunately it is unavailable to buy anywhere for reasonable price. I checked newest LEGO classic collections, but it is not what I am looking for. I made some short comparison: set 5487 (700 pieces) contain: 58 pieces of 2x4 30 -> 2x3 172 -> 2x2 11 -> 2x8 aadditionally it contain 16 -> 1x8 which is also nice :) without counting 1x8, it gives alltogether 271 pieces of 2x(2-8) Newer sets like 10682 (creative suitcase - 1000 pieces) 105 pieces of 2x4 27 -> 2x3 94 -> 2x2 11 -> 2x8 SUM = 237 But this one is sort of pricey :/ New LEGO set classic 10705 (1000 pieces) 54 pieces of 2x4 30 -> 2x3 85 -> 2x2 no 2x6 or 2x8 :( SUM = 169 All new classic sets looks quite similar and lacks bigger bricks (such as 2x(2-8)) My question here is, what is the best widely available set with highest amount of 2x(2-8) bricks? I liked 5487 set, but I can´t find it for reasonable price.
