  1. So I went on railbricks tonight and I saw one the best piece's of track work ever, so I then watched the videos and I came upon a conclusion. I'm very 'purist' and protective about lego I hate cheap imotation, mega blocks etc and I feel when building something out of Lego everything and including the bits you dont see should be Lego. That said but when I come to my other hobby of model railways I use all different manufatuerers because I like to have the best qaulitiy for each component and so I feel in this case I can justify it to myself by using it with Lego Because the qauility speaks for itself and the option of different sized curves is a winner!. Is anyone else convinced? I know I'am, what do you think
  2. I should'nt worry about wiether its an april fools or not, give it a few years and Lego will be back to using powered track again, they've already shown they cant make their minds up and gone full circle using battery operated trains. If they wanted true use of indipentedly controlled trains they should turn to dcc.

    Firestation

Thats fantastic! it reminds me of my local station, the black and white is quite art-deco in apperance.
  4. 7740 all the way, its perfection I would cut off my nuts to own one.
  5. my fav is 4554, second would have to be 7822 and finally 7824 which i hope to rebuild very soon but the best one is featured on the back of my instructions for 7725 and i dont think you can get even though I'd love to have a crack at building it
  6. ..when your a dustman and you can tell which rubbish bag has got the Lego in.
  7. I find legos attitude towards their train range and customers very strange. At one point they hit the nail on the head with an excellent set and the next they show a complete disregard for the consumer. I like most have a collection of different powered trains (12v 9v 4.5v), My main hobby is OO gauge model railways and the manufatures always seem to be looking to keep everybody happy as they know its a hobby of all age's and it shows in their ranges. So that said for the serious collector a better track range could be produced with different radius curves and more turnouts etc even if its only available on line.

    Childish

I had a simalar chat with my wife last night about my lego collection and basicly I said acting your age all the time is boring and who cares what other people think, I love lego and modelling in general I'm only 29 and I'm in no rush to grow up.
  9. hi all, Rich here I've been wanting to join for ages and now seemed to be the right time as I'm curruntly sorting all my old lego, I've got a bit over every thing from 12v and 9v trains, castle lots of pirate and city mostly from 80s and 90s with a bit of new school stuff aswell, I'm slowly getting back into the game. Still got lots to do but I hope to share it with you all in the coming weeks. Thanks and i hope I can count on you all for your help and expert knowledge.
