Thanks all for the nice words! I added a detail shot of the lit hangar bay I forgot to add the first go around.

I was able to make two SHIPs this month. By far this was one of the most fun contests I've participated in.

Just thought I'd show my latest build. Second inline for the latest round of the Starfighter Telephone Game, our team chose modularity as a common theme between all ships. Here's a brief showing of quite a lot of combinations between maedhros1980's and my ship. Blacktron FTW!

Indeed I did alter the colors... I know X-wing's are white when new, but they will always be beat up and grey to my eyes. I think it just looks better that way. The mount is just a shelf bracket with the end sticking out from the wall bent to a 45 degree angle. I ran a bolt through some technic bricks replicating the original stand.

Thought I'd show what mixing a little old and a little of the soon to be released together would look like... I went with Red 2, because honestly, Wedge never gets any credit... More at, http://www.flickr.com/photos/neim343/

I was able to pull most of the pieces from my own collection thankfully. In total a little under $400 was all it took...

Finally finished!

Here's the stencil, I'll post higher res pics later tonight when I can actually use a better camera...

I'll upload the stencil a little later today, anyone can use it and print it out. You'll have to cut it yourself, but all the layout is done on it. As for the sticker paper itself, I just used plain 8.5 x 11 sticker paper from an office supple store.

Just an added option too not spend 80 plus dollars on the radar dish... I scanned a good pic of the original dish, then did an overlay and made a stencil on printed sticker paper. After cutting all the negative bits out, I placed it on a blank dish and hit it with a layer of dark grey spray paint. Just placed my last BL order today. After going through everything I had in my own collection I ended up spending around $400 to complete this project. Pretty good I think. Now it's just waiting for the packages to arrive...

You've done a great job capturing the Ma.K diorama feel.
