I thought about that but i also own the RC white passenger train and it runs like normal. So i decided it wasnt the remote. The remote works and the engine response to it but after about 4 to 5 inches the red light goes off and the train just turns it self off.

Hello I have been collecting and enjoying Lego trains for the past 4 years and I have luckily never had a problem I couldn’t fix till today. I had just finished moving around some track to add more room for my growing collection when I thought I would give my trains all a good run around to see how well the track plan was going to work out. I go to run my green cargo RC train and it doesn’t move more then 4 inches before it turns it self off. Ok I think well maybe the batteries are died it’s been a while since I have been running them. So I changed out the batteries in it and still same result. I have tried changing the wheels out for another set and still same result. I’m beginning to think it’s the motor but I have no idea what it could be. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. I would hate to lose my first Lego train purchase! Thanks Danny Also has anyone ever had the older wheels stiffen up on them that they don’t roll freely any more??

Good afternoon! First post here on Eurobrick so hope im doing everything correct!! First off i want to say your engine looks amazing very nice work. Im just starting to get my feet wet in the lego train world and had a question for you. Im working on a larger steam engine like yours and was wondering what was all need to use two power function motors? i was thinking it would be a nice idea to add more power to the engine and didnt now if any thing special was need to run two motors.
