  1. Sounds good. I have tickets for Sunday, so maybe I'll see you there. Looking forward to seeing your GBC's.
  2. Hi Martin, Welcome to EB. I didn't see your post, when I replied in my own post. Looking forward to seing some of the amazing work that "Byggepladen" will deliver this year at the Lego world in Copenhagen. Leg Godt.
  3. Welcome to Eurobricks.
  4. Hi Ro87n, Thanks. The name is inspired by a TV series called Robot Wars, where various people had build robots to fight each other and the house robots. One of the robots were called "Sir Killalot", and thereby the name. I think Lego is so well known all over the world, that it is no specific privilege to live in Denmark. (Other than it is an honor to share nationality with the founder of Lego) I think you are correct, when you say that some sets may not be awailable in Denmark, but I'm not sure. Luckely we have the internet, so it is possible to connect with other parts of the world if there are sets unavailable in our region.
  5. Hi Martin. Thanks for the welcome. Always good to see other Danes. I'm not a member, but I have thought about it. Are you a member? I'm looking forward to see what the members have made for the Lego World in Copenhagen in a weeks time. I enjoyed it very much last year, and is expecting another great setup. Leg Godt. Niclas
  6. Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. Hi Enpaz: As you say, we have a lot of English/American programs on TV, and I think it is because we are a very little country with a great deal of interaction with other countries. Almost all Danes know a little bit of English, as English is a language which is very prioritised in our country. I although still think that Danish is well represented on TV. "Kanelsnegle" is also one of my favourites and Danes are normally very happy about pastry in generel. I could imagine that this was a challenge to pronounce. We normally use the Danish term "Rød grød med fløde" (Red stewed fruit with cream) to determine if a foreigner has picked up on the Danish language. Don't know if you have heard this. Hi Zorbas, You should look forward to that one. I especially like the escalators. My favorite is although still the green grocer set, although it could have had some more interior. But that is quickly solved with some creative furnitures etc. Niclas
  7. Hi Everybody, I'm a 25 year old man from Copenhagen in Denmark, and I work as an Engineer. I have (as many Danes) grown up with LEGO but has been away from it, for some years. When my son started to show interest for DUPLO a year ago, I started looking for my old LEGO again. When I found it, I was hooked again. So many memories and so many hours of playing came back to me, and after a trip to the LEGO world in Copenhagen in 2010, I had to have some more set for my collection. I'm especially found of the City and Creator themes, but have great admire for the guys/girls demonstrating the creative possibilities all of the sets have. Since I found this community site, I have been reading with great interest in the forum and think that it's so inspirational to see the imagination of people in here. My latest set is the Grand Emporium, and I simply love these construction sets. It makes me think of the fantastic city build in LEGO Land in Billund, Denmark, where I use to love to come when I was a kid. My plan is to build a complete city at home, and I'm just waiting to get some more room so that I can realise this. This was a little about me. I hope to see you all out in the forums and is looking forward to more inspiration from all of you. Niclas
