  1. Hello to everyone. New brick builder from the UK checking in. After some research this looks like the perfect place to set up camp and hopefully get the much needed help from all the adult fans of lego across many countries. From being a huge fan of the brick from my childhood through to my very own children I have decided its time for a bit of Daddy play time.... Im a big fan of the modular sets and have picked a few up which are fantastic. My latest is the Ghostbusters Fire House (child of the 80s and could not resist). Im looking at a vast array of ideas but will stick to the fundamentals at first. Can anyone help me with the best way to buy individual bricks in bulk from stores. I know lego do Pick a Brick but are there any others that someone could recommend? Some of the sets I am looking at are discontinued and to purchase through eBay or amazon would not be an option. I like to think out of the box so do not want to exactly copy the designs but use them as ideas. I will give you an idea. The Ghost hunters haunted house has some great features and I love the design but it is very expensive. As I do not need the mini figures or want to change the colours is it just a case of finding the instruction manual on line, finding the pieces and go from there? Its seems logical in way but you lego veterans may be able to assist me with this process? I also would love to get some advice on building hills/mountains if anyone can point me in the right direction? You can see where this is going with this I'm looking to make a psycho type house on the hill. Any advice would be most appreciated. There is so much more I would like to ask but as this is a introduction page I will leave it at that.... Hope to be chatting with many of you soon through the threads and thank for letting me into the forum, I think I will be spending quite some time here. Kindest regards
