Thank you for replying back. I did call the Lego Mindstorms support yesterday morning. According to them, this should not happen if firmware is updated and light sensor is placed right( both hold true for my case). When i asked them about defective batch, I did not get any direct reply. According to them sensors may not be genuine as they were purchased on ebay. They would be sending me 1 color sensor complimentary. Sensors did come in original packaging to me and buyer has good rapport on ebay. Everybody beware of XXN5 series of color sensors. Thanks again.

Looking for some help...any pointers.....please help....

Hello All I am having a couple of Color sensors with me and half of them are reading black, yellow, red , blue , green colors as Blue if the Robot is moving. Other half are working fine. The "Faulty ones" do tell correct color when stationery , so it seems they are unable to read as quickly as other ones. All "Faulty ones " belong to XXN5 series. Working ones are from N4 /N3 series. I have updated version1.09H on my system. Any one facing same problem? Any pointers will be helpful. Thank you.
