  1. Hi, thank you very, very much for your kind words. I am very happy that you like my town! Regards Andreas
  2. Hi, as said in my introduction thread, I want to present today my Lego Town Layout, called Neu-Brickstadt. It took me around 2 years of building and about 3 years of collecting. For the moment the layout is in its final presentation and I won't continue building on it. This is because me and my family will move in the next months into our new house. The ensemble will be complete disassembled and as soon as everything is right in the new house it will be rebuilds in a new layout in my Lego room of my future basement. Here are some pictures: My latest projekt on the layout was a amusement park around the current available sets. The several attraction like the Ferris Wheel, The Mixxer, the Rubber duckies and the carousel are motorized via power functions and controlled by the 2 9Volt power supplier: Most of the buildings are the official Modular buildings, but there are also a few Moc buildings in the city, like the train station: The signal tower: the Water Reservoir: and a few more. For all details and pics in higher resolution you can check my flickr page if you want: https://www.flickr.c...5214@N04/albums To see everything in movement I also create a little video: I hope you like it. Feel free to comment, giving feedback, etc. Thanks for watching! Regards Andreas
  3. Hi everybody, My name is Andreas, I am 35 years old and life in the central south of Germany (around 40km away from Stuttgart). I am married and together we have two wunderful kids. My dark ages ended for about 4 years when I was at christmas shopping for our daughter at a local toystore. The shop had displayed some Lego Star Wars models, and I was fascinated from the amount of detail and the likeness of the models to the original ships, because I love building Lego at my childhood. A few weeks later I bought the UCS shuttle, the Tantive IV and the Millenium Falcon just for fun and because it was christmas. As soon I had build the models I was reinfected with the Lego virus and a new hobby was born. First I was collecting sets of different themes (Star Wars mainly UCS, Harry Potter, Modular houses,...), but after some time I started to build own creations. Up to now collecting sets become more and more secondary. I only buy the current UCS and the Modulars and maybe some sets that really fascinating me. My main focus goes to Lego Town and Trains. Since two years I build a Lego Town Layout around the Modular houses with running trains in my basement. With that I fullyfied me a dream of my childhood. Soon I will post some pics here, but if you are interested in, you can check my flickr page if you want: https://www.flickr.com/photos/131165214@N04/albums Beside building Lego, I have another passion in painting historical and fantasy model figures and busts with acrylics in a 1:35, 1:30 and 1:10 scale. So I am not completly new in scale modelling. As I perform this hobby for over ten years on a more or less semi proffessional way, I learned a lot of classic art things, colour theory and conception which are also very usefull for building with Lego. If you are interested in, you can check here: http://www.puttyandpaint.com/Feanor Thats it from myself for this time. Thanks for reading Regards Andreas
