You will also see I was asking about re-release of UCS Star Wars sets which I wanted to build and display. But anyway I don't feel I need to justify myself to you.

I assure you I am both a fan and builder of Lego not just an investor. Didn't buy the Hellicrafts in the end. One was to build myself and one to keep as investment. But I've gone off the set so decided not to buy them. FYI All my cancelled orders were fulfilled apart from those where there was a 1 order limit, by the Lego.com shop without me even calling them.

Toys 'R' Us have the 76042 SHIELD Helicarrier for £239.99 (£30 off). I was wondering if it was worth picking up an extra one as investment. I'm not sure about it and its an expensive set. I've reserved two at one of my local stores whilst I think about it.

Looks great - a vast improvement. I was wondering if The Big Bang Theory set would make a good investment. Its popular show and I can't see fans stockpiling the set.

Unfortunately, I think you're right about TLG moving towards play sets and smaller models for UCS. I'm not interested in playsets and for me the main appeal of the UCS ships were that they were so big. I would be happy to see UCS sets from the new films such as Finalizer but I hope they aren't smaller sets with lower piece counts.

I've always wondered if there is a such a big demand for the retired UCS sets why doesn't Lego just re-release them if they don't want the expense of making a new version?

Its arguably the most iconic ship in the whole franchise so aren't TLG missing something here? The non-UCS ships just aren't the same.

I think you could be right and the trend seems to be toward UCS sets with playability which unfortunately I'm not interested in.

I know they've aged well - that's why I want them! I think they could remake the Star Destroyer but with SNOT and printed detail. Absolutely love the Shuttle. Its basically the only retired UCS I could ever imagine buying on the secondary market.

These are my favourite UCS sets: 10179: Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon 10030: Imperial Star Destroyer 10212: Imperial Shuttle 7181: TIE Interceptor As a new AFOL I don't own any of them. I was wondering if we could ever see a remake of these sets? I'm no expert but I think TIE Interceptor is the most likely candidate as its 16 years old. But I still don't know the chances of a remake. I'm not interested in parting with so much money for any of these MSIB on the secondary market.

My local Smyths Toys has just received a delivery of The Tumbler. Smyths have the last stock in the UK. I've bought two and should collect later.

I live in a town in Cheshire in the north west of England. The Lego store in Liverpool is 10 miles away, the Manchester store is 25 miles away and the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Manchester is 17.5 miles away. Yeah sure why not. Just send me your address and I'll put the spare Tower Bridge in the post.

It was more of a case of the actions of a keen and excited new AFOL. I'm not looking at becoming a reseller but interested in investing to help fund new sets to build.

I was wondering why Amazon UK doesn't stock the big Lego sets. I checked and saw that Amazon UK itself does not sell any of the Star Wars UCS eg Slave 1, Tie Figher etc. Also that it doesn't sell things like Tower Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Ferris Wheel etc. Is there some particular reason for Amazon not selling the big sets in the UK?

Something weird happened. I never got round to calling Lego Customer Services today. I went to the Lego store today and I saw when I arrived on my phone that the order status of the Tower Bridge and the Slave 1 from the Lego.com Shop had changed from cancelled to 'In Warehouse'. I was able to buy 2 of each of Tower Bridge and Sandcrawler at the Lego Store today as well. I was able to redeed my VIP points from the Ewok set I bought online and redeem from the first instore purchase. So it seems that my account with Lego.com Shop is now fine and don't even feel the need to call them. I'll just have to keep the 3rd Tower Bridge set as an investment but may give it someone as a gift. The only orders cancelled on my account now are for 2nd orders of items where there was a 1 order limit. So these are cancelled rightly so. I think I'll actually prefer to buy from the Lego stores going forwards as its a bit of pain buying online. I am luck that I have 3 stores on my doorstep, one less than 10 miles from my home and another two within 20 miles.

Great I'll let you know how I get on. Reason I preferred buying online is because of Quidco cashback but also for the outer shipping box. I generally want to buy 2 of all the sets I want. One to build and have on display and the other to have unopened in the box in storage. The outer shipping box helps with storage in the loft.

I didn't even know there is a Lego store in my home city. I called them just before they closed this evening and they have the Tower Bridge set in stock. I was just wondering if I can have VIP points added to my account if buy in store if I take the email confirmation. I haven't received my VIP card in the post yet as I only signed up two days ago. I am also wondering if an item has a 1 item order limit on the Lego.com Shop applies to Lego stores as well. By which I mean if I buy one instore and use my VIP card can I still buy one online as well?

I will but they are now closed. I can't believe they close at 5pm. Most companies Customer Services open well into the evening these days.

I am a new AFOL and yesterday opened a Lego.com Shop VIP account. I placed a number of orders but they are being cancelled. I appreciate that the Sandcrawler and Ewok Village have an order limit of 1. It was something I genuinely didn't notice at the time. But all my other orders where I just ordered 1 item were also cancelled. Anything I seem to order now is being cancelled but not automatically eg the Tower Bridge set. I'm a new AFOL from the UK. I've placed a couple orders from the Lego.com shop. Can anyone please tell me which courier they use in the UK? Also what is the packaging like with the Lego.com shop. I'm hoping the boxes arrive in pristine condition.
