  1. They all do, the one in UK has a great one of London, with the Thames, the London Eye, bigben everything. It takes about an hour to walk about.
  2. It even inspires unskilled ship builders X-D The ship looks great, I really love it and it is an inspiration for me as I am now building my first ship. It's only a small frigate built with a limited amount of parts but she's going to be nice, apart from the cannons which are absalutely terrible.
  3. Agghh! I'm here to save the day! Pirates is a much more imaginitive, interesting and fascinating line. Sorry I absalutely ADORE castles but there's so much history with Pirates, and I don't know why you Americans are voting for castles, because your country had none of that. But they did have some history with Pirates! And to all the people who say you can only build a ship with the pirates line, I say you're wrong! If you take a walk (a very one one at that) around the WHOLE of the United Kingdom, you will find many coastal forts built mostly to defend against the Spanish with cannons, ports the whole lot. Plus the pirate period is a historicle masterpiece, the start of the industrial age for Britian, American Civil War (I think) Slavery, the abbollishment of slavery, the battle of Waterloo and a whole heap of other stuff. So if you're a true man, vote pirates! ;)
  4. That is a lot of figs, and they're British :D I'll take that as a compliment :P
  5. That's great, he looks just right to fit into miniland X-D
  6. Hmm.... not unless I had to destroy the whole sword really unless by some, then again ABS plastic is very strong and only one bit of the sword is glued. I'll just make a new one X-D I'm making a bricklink order today anyay, and that reminds me can someone please give me a link to a good piratical brinklink store today?
  7. Oh I didn't realise that Mr.Phes, I'll be sure to add pictures to all my threads from now on. And Monsieur Bonerpart, what do you think I'm working on now X-D
  8. *Sigh* Fine I'll resize for you again ;) I just use a free decal program called drawplus, the decals are in the Library of Honduras if you want to use them.
  9. Ok, as promised here are my all new all custom pirate crew! *Fireworks* I'm really pleased with the designs, and the application went without flaw which I am glad with. The Captain and First mate (Black Bandana) aren't actually custom, can't say I have a reason for that but I'm pleased with them. My favourite decal has to be the pirate with the bare chest and black tunic. Links: 1,2,3,4,5 and gallery when public! As always C&C welcome, enjoy! And sorry for the pics, they look grainy because I had to use my flash.
  10. This looks great! I love the bakery, you could start a sort of RPG town thing like Sim city or something. I can't wait to see the buildings in lego.
  11. Have you put a greatsword beside a minifig? It's taller than him! ;) If you scaled down the rapier to a normal ratio, it would be about the same size as a dagger, and if you look on Brickarms.com all of Will's weapons are immense compared to the fig, in lego terms it's just normal sized.
  12. Ok Monsieur Bonaparte, I have remade the last decals but changed one, now they are suitable for the library. Here is a link. Enjoy X-D
  13. Turns out my the informtation I got was false, I couldn't change the size on that program, but I can on my decal program so I am remaking them. On brighter news, here are some new decals. The resalution is much better and they look much clearer, on the deeplink they look a bit shabby but when the folder is public they look crisp.
  14. I don't actually know how, I made these with Draw Plus 4, and since you have to export your decals as windows Metafile to use them I cannot open them in Draw Plus, I saved them incase this happenned but that's gone and disappeared. I'll try it with Irfanview though, that's how I resize my images aswell. EDIT: Ok I've found where to change the reslution, it says 150X150 DPI at the moment what should I change it to?
  15. Yes I did notice that Bonaparte posted, I didn't know he was a member either X-D I'll do a tuatorial today, hopefully have it posted aswell. I'll do it on a sort of barbaric cutlass theme, with a big blade and such, but I will have a pge with recommended materials and parts to achieve your own designs.
  16. I have been on the ride in Paris, and I am going to California in October, so if you can wait a few months then I can tell you ;) The Paris ride was quite long, and there was a cafe where you could go down into the ride and order food whilst watching the boats go by. It's not actually called Pirates of the Caribbean there, something else but I can't remember. It is brilliant though and highly enjouyable. I want to raise the stakes, how about who can build the best mechanized piece of ride?
  17. I use this brand Mr.Phes. The ordinary transparent paper is good but the white backed is not, what do you use?
  18. Here is a batch of three, just random pirates, I hope you like X-D
  19. Thanks all X-D At the moment I am sticking with just miscellanious (spelling is not my strong point) pirates, but I will be moving onto British Red coats, I'll make my own decal for them though as I don't want to spend a lot of money on bricklink. That library looks brilliant and will be of great use, thanks for sharing that :D The Sword: I used one of lego's old long antennas with the ball on the end, and cut a length off of four centimetres. I then sanded the whole thing to make it thinner so it could fit in a one centimetre length of tube styrene (if you don't know what any sort of styrene is then I suggest consulting MCN), I did this to prevent a lot of glueing so the whole thing was strong enough to be played with. I then continued filing to make the blade pointier and then rounded off the end. I then got a Bionacle ball that fits into thhe arm sockets and such and cut it in half for the bell gaurd, drilled a hole in it and slid it onto the blade, it was glued in place afterwoods I checked it fitted. If you have a section where I can post a tuatorial then I shall make a more detailed one with pictures and such.
  20. These look nice! The decal application looks perfect, for some reason my paper always flakes up at the edges :-/
  21. Hey all, Some may know me from MCN (Minifigcustomizationnetwork) as Viking Maniac, just to let you know. Here is my first in what I hope to be a long line of customs, my Pirate Captian. The gallery is public so you can look at all the pictures. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=247316 Hope you like it, Alec There you go X-D
