  1. yea i seriously don't mind a expensive UCS castle. The max I'm willing to pay for a LEGO set would be about 800 i guess. Provided its really stunning.
  2. Still found everywhere here in Singapore =/ TLG should really lower the prices in our region to promote better sales. Most of my LEGO sets were obtained via shipping instead.
  3. prefer the old torso printing for the knight but the helmet looks great!
  4. I got to admit, the spongebob sets are cute but I ain't ever buying it.
  5. After looking at closer pictures of the shrine that toatali posted, I think I'm going to pass on this set. There just not enough detail in the building to warrant $120. I rather fork out a little bit more and buy a modular building even if it doesn't match my current medieval sets theme. Pity the nanoblock Himeji Castle color scheme sucks. Given the proper color scheme, it would look awesome like the Ninjago Shrine.
  6. I would totally love the hogsmeade village done in diagon alley style! Ministry of Magic too but only if it is a big set. Edit: wait, isn't the last harry potter movie getting released this year. Why would lego release harry potter themed sets in 2012 that does not coincide with the movies.
  7. The Ninjago sets never caught my eye but holy shit the temple with the fire dragon looks amazing! Wish they would release a big set with maybe 1.5k pieces though. Does anyone know how much would that temple cost?
  8. holy shit. 13 copies?!?!? did you mod it into a big castle by any chance? I totally agree! one of the reasons I'm tempted to buy nanoblocks! their big sets are "real" buildings. The only problem is their selection of colors. Lego looks way more vibrant.
  9. Nice to see someone with a different opinion! Finally someone who appreciates Borgin and Burkes' exterior! A problem though is the location of the glow in the dark bricks. I'm guessing the reason behind the designer's placement of the glow in the dark bricks around the skeleton is to illuminate it at night. Works well in theory, in real life however, the bricks surrounding the glow in the dark bricks limit the light exposure to it so the bricks won't illuminate much in the night. Despite that, still darn good to see a strip of green light from my lego when I turn off the lights!
  10. hey guys, I recently started collecting lego again! While browsing through the sets that were released during the 15 years I stopped playing lego, I realized my favorite themes such as Vikings, Dwarfs, Dragons and Trolls were all ended! Tried searching for those sets on ebay but the prices are MAD. Based on LEGO's behavior, when do you guys think those themes will be revived again?
  11. Am I the only one that finds the roofs in the windmill set ugly? Not a set that I REALLY like but I will get it for the sake of my medieval village.
  12. Nice but I was actually referring to castles released by TLG :P. Nice creations are welcomed though! :D
  13. I currently have the King Leo's Castle that's about 11 years old. I kinda want a REAL castle. Something that has like a few thousand parts but I know there's no castle available in the market that fits the description. So what do you guys think is the best castle?
  14. Great work! How much does it cost? LDD is the software where you can design and purchase the bricks from lego right?
