Because these guys are building it! Was just going to set up a construction site, and this vig was dying to be made. I love the construction theme, and should use them more. Perhaps I will... As always, C&C welcome.

Thanks. I still need to build a fence around the freight yard, but I like it's location. Only wish I had more space for multiple spurs. And I'd prefer a diesel locomotive, as that's what we have here in the states. Waiting on the Maersk train I guess, though I might MOD this one since Union Pacific is mostly yellow, and the predominant line around these parts. Thanks Jay! I don't know if the nike shop will stay where it is, at this point it's a place holder. I'm going to build outside dining for the pizza shop for sure. There's a really good burger joint here in San Antonio that is right agaisnt the UP freight yard, so I'm going for some along that line. As for the bank and house by the airport, I'm trying to create a more suburban area, and think a bank down town would be less 'modern' looking.

So, it's a snow day here in Central Texas, and I can't get to work, so it's a perfect opportunity to get my lego city straightened out! The area is 14x4', and here is it's current state - The West Side - this is supposed to be the 'downtown area'. The issue is where to put the yellow train station and courthouse. I'm thinking about putting the whole area one baseplate back, but this will require moving the freight yard behind the modular buildings. The central area - This is the 'residential area'. I really want this to be a transist-oriented walkable type community with mixed residences and businesses. Obviously the things like the Crystal King and Nuckel's ATV must go. East Side - This is the airport area and is total mess as a catch all. The airport and the train track get in each other's way. I'm totally open to suggesstions And in between the residential area and the airport - the Grand Carousel, around which I'd like to build a carnival/theme park area. I'd really appreciate suggestions, and will post updates as I work on it today. Seems like the perfect bad weather project.

Jimbo this is awesome. Between looking at the stuff you and LightningTiger build, I want to completely scrap my city an build it from scratch. I even went and picked up an apple tree house the other day when TRU sent me a 20% off coupon.
