  1. Thanks for the nice reviews! By pure coincidence I've been rebuilding all my old M-Tron this past weekend. The last model you reviewed turns out to be the only one I never had. Time to hit bricklink I think; looks like a truely wonderful model. All those magnets! It will trigger M-envy with the other smaller models. You said you have the other models, please do reviews for them too. I felt 14 again, and truly happy, when building them again and they really deserve a review. (Just have to hunt down 3 pieces that appear to have been filed incorrectly, for the rest my coffee table is full of big red vehicles).
  2. Thank you for the review! I'll be honest and say that I would almost certainly buy the series anyway, but this pushed me over the edge! I finally got the previous three series complete a few weeks ago and this one showed up last week in the toy stores around here. I've been using the fondle-the-baggie method up till now, but have another AFOL around here, so we ordered a whole box this time. Always a bit of an issue with physical shops, good thing there is a local internet shop with pickup: simply can't wait!
  3. Everybody thank you for the warm welcome! I'm sure I will enjoy my time here; I still mostly lurk about, but if I do have anything to say, I will. KielDaMan: Actually built the Sonic Boom yesterday and had a really good time. The problem doesn't seem to be the passion: it's all coming back to me really fast. Quite a few new bricks have been introduced in the last decade, so it's like being a small child again, discovering how things fit together, how the system is still so consistent and just pain having fun: wonderful!
  4. Magic! I'm in love with those instruments. Getting drums to look good is always a problem, but I do think you made a nice compromise; it's not like you could comfortably fit an entire kit in a real gazebo of this size either. I bet that gazebo looks wonderful in the town.
  5. Hello everyone at Eurobricks! After almost 13 years I have (finally?) rediscovered that my inner child really enjoys LEGO. I bought my own house (real one) and have just about got all the required furniture in, so now I intend to fill it with a lot of plastic building blocks. I only have a few of the smallest creator boxes, a LEGO game (Harry Potter) and two Technics models at the moment, since I can't seem to find the LEGO I played with as a kid (yet!). So, I have a few basic blocks, the creator sonic boom jet (thanks Rufus) and the Emerald Night on order right now and can't wait for them to arrive. As a kid I began only building what the instructions suggested, but after I acquired a sufficient amount of bricks I did start making my own stuff too. Can't recall if it was any good though... Guess I will have to wait and see if I'm any good at MOC, but it has got me interested, especially after lurking here for a few weeks and seeing what you have all come up with.
  6. Thank you so much for the review. Nice use of language and pictures where required make your points very clear. It seems this set does have it's shortcomings; the mundane bricks included and some minor problems with the final model's stability, but since I'm just rediscovering LEGO again you convinced me to give this one a try (see you later 41 euro ).
  7. Hi Syn! Welcome to EB, i think you can find most (if not all) terms used here at the EB glossary, it's what i used to get myself up to speed. Which reminds me, i need to introduce myself too... I'll open a topic for that later. hope you enjoy EB as much as I do1
