The problem with this is the hinges. Depending on the range of motion of the rear panel you may need to offset a second wall so it can open all the way. This in turn will force you to leave some of the "ugly" bricks as is. Again with using a modular, it may have to be offset to keep the side panel functional. This is also a pretty tall set. You will be limited as to what modulars you could potentially cover it up with.

I agree that the back is hideous and what I am about to say is an eye-roller comment but this does look like the backside of a typical New York City building. I highly doubt they were trying to achieve that.
