Since I got the Lego Camper I've been itching to build a trailer to haul behind it for camping gear etc. I went through a few different designs and tried the LDD but eventually just started experimenting and this was the result. Let me know what you think... Lego trailer slideshow

Whoo hoo just got back today from our trip and the Tigard store was awesome! Here is what my dear sweet husband got me... [photo1 photo 2 The staff were so friendly and helpful, they rock IMO. I couldn't find any of 7639 Camper and they went out of their way to go upstairs to the stock room to find me one and restocked the shelf as well. I signed up for the Lego VIP card and got it as well. The PAB wall had some fun stuff, nothing spectacular but my husband got all into getting the cup stuffed to the brim (even though he isn't a Lego person. Thanks for all the replies, if you get a chance check the store in Tigard they are fantastic.

Does anyone else remember the sets that came out in the Mid 90's that were sort of the same theme as Aladdin? They were Belville sets I believe and those weren't too bad. The Belville issue that I have is scale, why do they make the Belville figures and house items bigger? Do they think girls have less dexterity? I posted in the other thread about "girl" Lego and the same thing applies, Lego is one of the most gender neutral activities I did as a kid with other kids. Lego needs to realize that there are plenty of themes out there that apply to girls and boys. Why don't they make more Kingdom sets with a cool girl knight or buy into a franchise that empowers girls, not relegate them to just building a house with a dish set and microwave?

Thanks for all the replies, I can't wait to get there. The Brickbldr website for Tigard seems up to date but if it isn't no biggie. I will probably fill up a cup no matter what they have. I have heard the minifig build is sort of not worth the ten dollars since they are fairly generic. I have a total fantasy that I'll go they'll have released the Hill House or the POTC sets. Either way I am just happy to go, I live about four hours away from the store and don't expect to go again for quite a while.

Wednesday my husband and I are going to the Lego Store in Tigard Oregon. Having never been to a Lego store I'm totally excited to see what they have. I'm planning on getting a PAB cup or two and I checked with Brickbldr for the latest info on what parts are available. I keep thinking I'm not going to see much in the way of new stuff yet as the summer release stuff won't be out for a long while...(Kingdoms, etc). Any tips on what to look for?

I think it's interesting that growing up I never had "Girl" Lego and neither did any of my cousins who were the ones who introduced me to Lego. My oldest cousin was a boy and had two younger sisters, and we played for hours and hours building everything from cars to houses etc. To think back now it was some of the most "genderless" playing those kids did. Most stuff for kids at that time (mid 80's here) was rather gender specific and it was one of the things that my family marveled at. The typical boy/girl fighting went all but silent during the times we played with Lego. If anything I don't believe you have to GET anyone to play with Lego girl or otherwise. Give anyone a bucket of Lego and if they're in the mood you won't hear a peep out of them other than the clinking of the Lego. That's why they are so loved don't you think?

I'm an adult female Lego fan and Belville has some interesting pieces but on the whole is way too pink and domestic. When they had the fantasy elements I loved those, because they were fantasy. Sets with houses and babies, no thank you. I guess I buck the system in that my latest set was a score from Goodwill of all places and a very sort of male set the Troll's Mountain Fortress. In the past I've gotten everything from Town to Star Wars although mainly I collect Harry Potter and Castle sets. If TLG wants to market to women they aren't hard to market to if you take into account the gamer type of women or comic con types which dig Lego anyway. Give us a Hall of Justice set or a X men set we'd be all over it (or I would hehe).
