Wow. I scroll down and I suddenly see a big pink hand. A tad suprising! :-P The bucket system is interesting! I didn't notice that, and I'm glad it's there. I'm very impressed at the amount of detail in this~ kudos to TLC! A step in the right direction!

I thought I heard you say you dismantled it! I must be going crazy... If you'll excuse me, I need to go take a tequila bath. *wacko* I'll be putting my entry up soon. ;-)
-
I agree. Hink, you might not want to sleep tonight. I think some members might be sneaking up as we I post. ;-)
-
You already did Hink... Or do we have another Illinois-ite here? I think this is the best one yet! Funny, nice, and fairly in-depth... but we have no lair pics!! >:-( :-P *y* I feel the same, I especially agree with the bathroom. X-D Wishing...so...hard!! Who taught you that language? Surely not your mother! X-O

Abandoned Nazi Hideout Diorama: WWII MOC by SirNadroj
Corvus replied to SirNadroj's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think the helmet is brickarms, Hink. ;-) Edit: Sirnadroj beat me to it! I like this! I saw Saving Private Ryan a few days ago, and I was impressed with their scenery, and now this, in lego version. *y* What is the red 4x8 plate for, some kind of banner? -
Ok! Not to overshadow you or anything, CW, but I think we should call a meeting on invasion tactics. Honestly, how on earth the universe are we going to fight effectively in twenty feet of powder? What's the plan? Show of force? Sneak attack?
-
Well, a sign indeed! It just started raining~ A sign? You've earned it! Congrats! *sweet*
-
Welcome, Buckshot! I'd shorten it to BS, but, well... :-$ That might not turn out well. :-P You sure came in with a bang! Are you going to post some pics of the beauty? :-)
-
Road trip! *sweet* Wait, Hoth you say? My Rose's engines won't work so well in the cold. CW, do you have any manuals about Hoth? Those could be really helpfull!
-
Um, no, I don't want to. I like the Cap'n. He gave me a cookie. *sweet* You're tied up for something, so how do I know you won't hurt me?

:-X All I can say about this set is that it looks like someone shoved an air hose in this and started pumping !! I mean, it is way out of proportion. The body is way too big for the plane, this thing looks like a stubby Spruce Goose!

I have some! Uh... Juice pack or juice pack? :-$

Got it. I was so happy I didn't mess up the poll that I didn't nitice that. :-$ I'm not sure who to vote for. I'll wait a little while to see if anyone lags behind. EDIT: seeing as I can't follow the poll without voting (D'oh!) I ended up voting for Hinckley in the Whack, and Sirnadroj in the spoof. That's a nice little Jack he has there!

Well, it's here! A big 'ole Thank you to everyone who joined in- ten entries with seven members! I think a good start for a newbie like me! :-$ Remember, the prize is fabulous Fame and Glory, and a title to each of our winners, given by the most illustrious Admins! *polite applause :-P * Of course, I would've ended the contest with a little comic, but unfortunately my shadowbox is under a large pile of books being flattened out. The foamcore is all bent from sitting too long. |-/ Ah well, on to the entries. A big thanks to Hinckley for providing the collages. The whacky whacks: The silly spoofs: Again, a big thanks to everyone who entered! Now, get votin' !!

The Great Jelly Alien Spoof contest entry thread!
Corvus replied to Corvus's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Late, yes, I know, but I'm posting my entries at the subtle hinting of Hinckley. ;-) Sorry, I only have one picture of each, as I wasn't planning to enter. :-$ My spoof: Spaceballs! Quote: I see your Schwartz is as big as mine !! My whack: Jimmy Jelly and his two friends are off randomly roaming the Mars scenery, as they always do. Yet, Jimmy is uneasy. He doesn't know why, but he senses imminent danger, something not of this world. His friends notice this. "What's wrong," they ask. "We're all here, Mars is red, and we have our entire lives ahead of us!" Jimmy is about to respond with a scathing comment, but something shiny catches his eye, driving all his worries away. A gem. Jimmy hops up to it as fast as he can. What beauty! What perfection! He bends over for a better look, unaware of a shadow looming over him... :-) Entries closed! The poll has begun! -
I didn't do this today, but this is a fairly interesting every-day thing. I'm nervous enought bringing my cornet to school, and even more so bringing it to home football (the american version with the oddly shaped ball :-P ) games. This year, our field is gone Why? The school and field were built on an old pumice mine. The school foundation was built safely enough (whew!!) but the field and track were not. Every year the old pumice mine shifted, cracked, whatever, but it left the field with big crevices and holes... Now, the school board decided to fix it permanently, a seven million dollar fix. :-X The field now resembles a strip mine next to our school, with big machinery rumbling around inside it. Why does this relate to my cornet? Now, our "home games" :-| are at rival school's fields. So, the band has to pack up and move all the way to the other school. Now our school is a laughing stock... :'-(

Today I ran five miles for my P.E. Class. Got lost, and found my way through the Disc Golf course at the Community College. I didn't sign up for the class- I was bumped into it, but I sure know I'll be a lot fitter by the end of the year! But man, I'm having a hard time getting out of my seat I'm so sore. :-$ I also searched for the model and age of my old copper Conn cornet. I couldn't find the model (on the cornet it says "victor A" but I did find the age- It was made in '49. I'm afraid to bring it to school- both because it's old and it's worth a few good thousand. SN: oof, tough luck. The only peice of WW equipment I own is a Russian WWI tank commander's badge.

If you want to win, soon. Very soon. ;-) All right! By my count, the contest is over! I'll be making a poll soon, as soon as I have time. Don't worry if you're time is still Oct. 2 and you haven't entered- you can still enter, just tell me. ;-)

So I suppose that's too much of a good thing? Good point, you need to have something for an easy pat-on-the-back. X-D Are you going to make another MOC for "Fartface"? If so, I think people should take turns making their own "amateur" MOC, so we can have a good variety of amateurness. (That can't be a word, can it? Let's say it is. :-P )

Maybe that's what the claw and sword is for... TIMBER !! *thud* :-D

I think you hit the nail on the head here. I like to be told what I did wrong, but on the internet... a few people I know have been very insulted by that sort of thing by their friends. Being in between them... Thank you. I find positive energy the best... energy for me. I'm not very competitive, so (if I were fartface) shunning me, in the hope of getting me determined to do better, would most likely cause me to get glummer and glummer. To be honest I couldn't find much to help with. :-$ Personally, I prefer long replies, because it looks like the poster is very interested in what I'm building. Thanks. If I only had his hat... I just had the funniest vision if Hinkley's sigfig with a terrified expression, and his hand lying on the ground. :-D

At least it will be fun to construct all sorts of big vigs about the mechs tripping over all sorts of roots and vines. :-P "A robot! Get him! I'll fly up here, to the- Oof, there's a big tree in the way, uh oh!" :-|
