Turn of your flash and use a cheap desk light. I have one mounted on my Lego table that I can move around over the table. Usually I get the results I wanted.
-
Ditch the current table, custom tables are your best bet. Mine is just a wooden plate on top of a few supports like these: http://img.yezzz.com/zm2748765.jpeg If you need to expand the table, it's easy to add another plate. You'll never have height differences and can arange the tables in any way you like, square, L-shaped or whatever. Plus it's cheap, leaving you with more money to spend on Lego. ;-)

Yesterday I picked up the prisoner transport (which I slightly modified as I don't like the bars) and the ambulance. Today I bought 2 police bikes. The City is growing.

Almost came to that today... Yesterday I went to pick up the prisoner transport and ambulance, today I went back to pick up 2 police bikes, and it was the same girl behind the counter. She kinda looked funny.. X-D Oh, and welcome to EB, lifirefighter!!

Welcome on board. ;-)

My french aint what it used to be, but overall they were very satisfied with the new garbage truck. The only 2 minor issues were that this one only comes with 1 minifig (vs 2 with the original model) and that the small pieces which act as garbage, can fall out if you tip the truck over to much. Personally, I think it's a great improvement of the original 1987 model. And it will be a nice addition for my city. :)

Welcome on board. *sweet*

Well, unless I'm mistaken, it's made out of 64 sets. (16 floors, 4 sets per floor) Each set is
-
It would probably look good if you added 2 or 3 floors to the original, but this is a little over the top.
-
Thank you. I've ordered the bricks for one of the appartment buildings (or the first 4 floors anyway..) and the hospital, so once I started on those I'll post some pics.

Why park it when you can put it into your locker at work? :-D

#1 Jagged Alliance 2 (PC) My number one. You receive control over a group of highly trained mercs to free a country from a tiranic queen. The basic game was good enough as it is, but a group of fans went on where the developers stopped. They brough V1.13 to the community with loads of new items/weapons improved AI and loads of other stuff. I'm very proud to be in the credits list as I helped with some of the new item descriptions. And the rest, in no specific order: # Broken Sword 1+2 (PC) Point & Click adventure games. High entertainement value. # Knights of the old Republic (PC) One of the better rpg's where you are free to choose your own path, more or less.. # Neverwinter Nights (PC) If you talk about a big game, that is the one. Probably one of the better RPG's available to date. # Ace Combat (PS2) Combat flight simulator. # Road Rash (PS) Riding your bike while kicking cops and opponents of theirs, working your way up the ladder. # Half-Life (PC) The mother of all shooters. # Theme Hospital (PS + PC) A golden oldie. I still install it from time to time, even if it's just to play only a few missions.

2007: Gaming Anticipations And Expectations
Rayden replied to JoeMI6's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Amen to that. You saw the IV trailer? Bloody amazing. Both games are a very good reason to buy an X360. As for further expectations, I was already let down big with STALKER, so I gave up on expectations for the rest of the year. Waiting for almost 3 years for that game only to receive some partially finished piece of..... -
Nice one. You got me as well, I completely forgot about the date. To be honest, my first reaction was *woohoo, more focus on the Lego City theme.* Now, I'm a bit disappointed, we City folks need more love. :-D
-
These 3 always cheer me up. :-D Giggling Baby Laughing babies Kick his *** And a Lego one: Lego Counter Strike
-
SS, as in South Shore, I asume. So no need to overreact. ;-)
-
After reading it a second time I must conclude that you are correct on both points. :-$

Looks amazing. That 360

Good stuff. *y* Just 2 slight errors in the Smart story. The pic with the police officer, where she replies "A wheel, Mr Officer?" I think it's either translated wrong, or I don't get it. :-D I guess it should have been "Drivers License" instead of wheel. And instead of "doctor" I think you ment "daughter". Keep them comming!

Do you have insurance for your lego collection?
Rayden replied to mutley777's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Nope, nothing insure and probably don't plan to. In Belgium you have the option of taking a fire insurance based on the ammount of rooms you have. Then they calculate a certain ammount which you are covered for. For some reason, this is about double or triple the ammount of the actual value of all your belongings. I hope it never happens, but should it ever burn down, insurrance will pay me enough to buy pretty much all I want. From a huge tv to all the Lego I'll ever need. :-D -
My order of 100 light grey 6x10 plates and 200 light grey 1x8 plates came in.

Well, the members need to be active off course. Like visiting the forum at least a few times a week. But it's been a while since I worked with invisionboard software so I have no idea wether this is possible or not. I've always worked with Vbulletin. :) This would add a lot of work for the admins. As all promotions would have to be done manually.
-
Well, like I suggested. Make ranks based on lenght in the community and not on post counts. It's the best way to prevent spamming.

Well, I'm a PC gamer so I'm not really into consoles. If I would buy any of these it would be the PS3. I've had the PS and currently have a PS2 but it's being used more as a DVD player then as an actuall console.. I only have around 10 games for my PS2, compared to the 70+ (legal) I have for my PC. :-) So, my next console would probably be the PS3, if nothing else but for playing blu-ray movies. But I'll wait for another year or so, then the price will have droppped a lot and then their 80gb version (currently in production) will have replaced the 60gb version.

Well, I started on my City project, but it's still a little empty. :) The last bit of my roads are on route as well as the needed bricks for my hospital. clicky Expected finish date: march 2009 :-)
