  1. So many things to admire! I love the vending machine, ATM, wallpaper, and different ways you've designed the curtains especially.
  2. I love how compact this is. Nice detailing on the exterior—I like the subtle alternation of red and brown tiles, and the wider windows—and especially admire how much you packed into the interior. The workbench in the garage is great!
  3. What wonderful buildings! I'm especially inspired by the narrow one and the ways you've given it such a detailed interior. Well done.
  4. 4. Dix - 2 pts 17. dho7622u - 1 pt 24. Sdrnet - 1 pt 27. Dede-la-fee - 1 pt
  5. I love the Green Grocer the best. I didn't find the Grand Emporium especially interesting to build, but loved the interior details and the "1932" and the fire truck in the Fire Station. I'm partway through building the Pet Shop, and am enjoying the little details on that set quite a lot. (I missed the first two in the series.)
  6. This is wonderful! The theater is brilliant.
  7. What a wonderful art deco building!
  8. Partway through sorting my collection.

  9. Thanks for hosting such a great building competition! And thanks for creating a badge for all of us who participated!
  10. These are wonderful. I love the inclusion of a red brick on back roof deck of the Green Grocer for the grill.
  11. Wow, this was hard! brickcitydepot — 1 Cutlass Iz — 1 Dix — 1 kost u grlu — 2
  12. What an elegant, wonderful design! I'm very impressed!
  13. Thanks! Now I can see exactly what you've done. Perfect!
  14. Nice! Great colors throughout. I especially like the coat rack, chalkboard, and carriage. The top of the bell tower looks great, but I wonder if there's a way to make it look more structurally solid from the back. How did you make the desks? I like how compact they are.
  15. So true! I made the wise man a king partly because of a popular Christmas carol about the magi, "We Three Kings," but mostly because I haven't really had something fun to do with that chrome crown. I also didn't have a great idea for what else a wise man could wear from my minifig collection. Coming up with a minister's costume was also tricky. I ended up using the torso of a Star Wars Imperial Pilot!
  16. I especially love the interior: the escalators, gates, and subway platform. Also, the technicians working in the subway tunnel are awesome.
  17. On Christmas Eve, after the townspeople have decorated their trees, gone iceskating, picked up delicacies from the bakery, and selected a gift at the toy shop, they head to the village church for a candlelight service. As they approach, light sparkles through the stained glass windows. Outside, a life-size nativity scene shares the Christmas story. The set includes a church and stable, seven (and a half!) minifigs, a horse, and a cow. Flowers and a chandelier brighten the church's vestibule. Inside, the vaulted ceiling resounds with the singing of carols. The minister adds a blessing from behind a pulpit decked out in holiday colors. Townspeople play the roles of Mary, Joseph, a shepherd, and a king in the church's living nativity. This is the first MOC I've shared on Eurobricks. Other images—including details of the roof and steeple construction—are on Flickr. I've really enjoyed the other models people have shared.
  18. My parents hooked me on LEGO back in the 1970s. When they gave me the classic yellow LEGO Castle back in 1982, I started jealously guarding my collection and kept each set in its box in my parents' attic when I moved away. Sure, in my twenties and thirties I'd occasionally pick up a nostalgia purchase—an X-wing fighter when the new trilogy of Star Wars movies came out; a 50th-anniversary box just for old times sake—but it wasn't until my wife surprised me with the Holiday Train for my birthday four years ago that it occurred to me that there were serious adult LEGO builders. Now I follow The Brothers Brick daily and marvel at the techniques people have developed. I mostly work on City themes, although I'm sure I spend more time admiring Castle MOCs. My 2 1/2-year-old son loves his DUPLO, but especially loves having me take one of my sets down from the bookshelf. This year, he's the Holiday Train engineer around our Christmas tree. I can't wait to build more with him. I live in the Boston, Massachusetts, area and work as an editor. My photos are on Flickr.
