  1. I added some lights: Some photoshop tweaks:
  2. Here is the latest pic with the pulpit. I'm not sure if I will just put another one on the other side.
  3. I made another modification. I made some areas for the pulpits. I think it takes it a step further into looking real. It's made up of 4 1x2 tiles, 1 small radar dish, a bowl. All in chrome gold. And then a few of those bricks that have studs on the top and all four sides to hold them all together.
  4. I'll have to look into that. I think I can put a window with the 1 x 1 translucent pieces and have it line up with the altar. In fact, I think it would look amazing with a light on the outside and seeing the 'stained glass' light up within the arches in the altar.
  5. Thanks everyone. Thanks for all the compliments and critiques. Which part? Christmas lights and batteries!! X-D I didn't even think of using those types of fences! I'll switch them immediately. I've been looking into doing the stained glass windows but I've banned myself from Bricklink for a while. X-D I am also looking into turning the ceiling into a dome like the following pic, but in white: The bells and the tabernacle on the altar are the only things that are painted. I used chrome silver spray paint a while back to paint the bells and a silver sharpie to paint the tabernacle. I used a lever handle for the bell banger thing. I eventually want to change the bells in the lower part of the steeple into something like this: Again, thanks everyone and I'm glad you like it.
  6. B-OV-5B This is a church I've been working on for a long while. This folder is how it looks right now. If you look in my other folders, you can see what it looked like in the past. Cathedral Folder When public The altar is based very loosely on the altar of our local church. It was destroyed 49 years when they remodeled and they are getting one carved that is identical to the original. Any ideas or improvements are always welcome. Here are many more pics of things I have built - MySpace Folder
  7. I just finished the Cafe after about 5-6 hours. This has to be one of my favorite sets. I agree about the building techniques. There were several times I said wow I never thought of doing that, especially with the skis. I love when you build something separately and then it just fits (the zig zags that go above the angled corner). I just wish I could buy more to make it a full building. I can't wait to start fixing up the inside. Coffee shop, rooms, maybe a lounge on the top floor, an ice cream shoppe next door and a restaurant. I'm going to have redo the bottom floor to add base plates with roads. I'm 25 and I have never been so excited over a set! (except for maybe the USC ISD) Does anyone have a rough estimate on how much the pieces would be for the second floor on bricklink?
  8. Thanks. I had read the posts about the colors but I hadn't read anything about the windows. I just finished the first floor and I love this set. I really hope they continue this theme. I would love little shops to go between bigger buildings and if they would have a full interior.
  9. I just received my Cafe Corner and had to join! I love the set and hope they make more. I just have one question. I haven't gotten a set that had windows in years. Are they supposed to have annoying circles engraved into them???? They look like they have been shot at. *n*
