  1. James Bond will return...
  2. I did a bit of research on this very topic a couple months back for a post on Quora. Figured it'd be good to link to it here. http://www.quora.com/LEGO/Will-3D-printing-eventually-put-LEGO-out-of-business
  3. Rogueang, please PM me with your table request. I don't have it yet, and, as I am doing the table layout for BW Chicago, without it you may find your collab scrambling for space. Thanks.
  4. Weak sauce, people. "The time to hesitate is through".
  5. Thanks for all the supportive comments everyone! I've been working on my layout now for a long time, and I actually have a lot more to do. The whole layout is being redone for next year's Brickworld in June, and I have a lot of high expectations for it. The other MOCs in the contest were great too! :-) I've been meaning to add an Outhouse scene for a long time, I'm just waiting for parts availability for an idea i have for the roof. But yeah, for those who thought it was too big and professional, I just want to say that I'm flattered. I work on this in my spare time, and I just really look to add a high degree of accuracy to the items that I build. I sent in a flurry of questions about entering in my full MOC or just putting it in in sections, but I don't remember getting a reply back on it, so I submitted the whole thing. This also saved me from taking a bunch more pictures. ;-) Anyways, thanks for the votes once again, and if any of you make it to Brickworld in Chicago next year, make sure to say hi.
  6. I suppose I'll add my entry into the mix. If it's too much, let me know, and I can shoot some pics of individual pieces. ;-) More pics can be found here as well: Jurassic Park Display lemme know what you all think :-) -Kevin
  7. Can us crazy Americans enter the contest too? Or do we have to be European? :) Oh, and Can we enter something for each category? or only just one? and does it have to be something different for each category we enter? or can they all be the same MOC? And lastly, I've noticed several people are still requesting clarification from you, Corpreal363, about the use of both technic and bionicle LEGO bricks in the contest entries. Could you please specify what you want to see and what you would like avoided?
  8. I'm a member of the group that had that display up, and about 20 mins after that pic was taken, we added a second one that was built properly on to the right-hand side of it. So we had one half that was nice and pristine while the other was dilapidated and run down. We also had the box for the set there and we were passing it around, so plenty of people saw what it 'should' look like. probably two brothers that each got half the hotel when their dad died, and the one was just really lazy...kinda like my brother...but that's neither here nor there. :) Also, I didn't notice any difference between the brown of the stairs and the brown of the bricks. That said, I did notice a problem with a difference in hues between the larger dark blue bricks/plates versus the 1x1 plates. The 1x1 plates seemed to be a noticeably darker hue, and this even was visible on the pics on the box as well. Overall I thought it was a very nice build and well built. Definitely worth the price at only $140 bucks.
