HELLO ALL !!! I am just dropping in to let you know of our newest partnership between Cincy Comicon and OKI Lug (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana) called.... Bricks on the Banks (September 12th and 13th, 2015) This is going to be a wonderful event. It is not an AFOL show but it is focused on the book (Comic), creators and artists of all types. One admission gets both awesome events. Hello fellow brick lovers !!! I am Rodney "Steam". I am in Kentucky near the Tri-States area of where Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky all join on different sides of the Ohio River. I am the brain child and founder of OKI Lug. My mom and I have been building since I was 7 years old (49 now) and we wanted to "get out of the basement", to share and build with others. TODAY the club is over 50 members strong, we are 501©4 non-profit and do several large shows throughout the tri-state area as well as a couple of the big AFOL shows. My true love of the brick came when the first Coast Guard set came out with movable limbs on minifigs and had the chest stickers. But now my favorite themes (in order) are Trains, Castle and finally pirate. Sense the beginning and learning from so many great builder in this community, I now focus on helping to add to our City, custom Castle work and my new found favorite, STEAMPUNK !!! I have read Eurobricks many times and always hear references to it, so it felt very necessary to just join in. I am not sure what I will add to the Eurobricks home, but I do not I have some wonderful builders and inventors in the club. Therefore I hope to be sharing their items and they create as well as enjoy all of your all's items and chats as well !!!
