  1. Fun stuff! I can't wait for that new little mech with the HUGE JETPACK. That thing is going to rock!
  2. May 1, 2164 - New Horizon City, WY - XO Tech Industries Releases New Summer Catalog - Petra and Condor: the names of XO Tech's latest summer offerings offer a few clues as to the nature of the beasts: "We decided on the name Petra, which is related to the Latin word for rock, because we wanted to convey the ruggedness and durability of this heavy mech. The Condor, on the other hand, spies from afar and strikes fast and hard, like a bird of prey," explains Baldomero Guerrero, XO Tech CEO and Chairman of the Board. "We are also excited to announce our exclusive multiyear service and support contract with Macrotek LLC, the Range's premier mech weapons supplier. Through this partnership, both Macrotek and XO Tech will benefit greatly through enhanced brand awareness and technology sharing." XO Tech also announced the commercial release of the VertiLift, which is actually included in the purchase price of the new Condor mech. As the ArCon market heats up this summer, XO Tech Industries looks poised to do some damage.
  3. I haven't made instructions for this MOC, but I haven't taken it apart either. I will go ahead and post some instructional photos in my brickshelf folder one of these days when I get the chance.
  4. Check the gallery when it is public. There is an underside shot there *y*
  5. 100% from AT-ST parts. It's an entry for the brickjournal WWYB contest...glad you like it! It was a fun and quick MOC for me...
  6. The Trade Federation Reaver Droid, like it's companion the Quad Droid, never saw much battle due to its late entry into the Clone Wars. The Reaver Droid was built on a standard hovertank platform (1 main hoverdrive, 3 auxiliaries, and 2 hoverthrusters) and armed with a pair of blasters and lasers. In addition, the Reaver Droid had a pair of rhodium-titanium alloy grips mounted to the front blast armor. These grips could be used to capture enemy commanders or to pick up dead clones and use them to bolster their front armor a bit. The Reaver Droid's low profile and agility would have made it a formidable enemy. Trade Federation Reaver Droid With minifg for scale Gallery (when public)
  7. Under development during the fall of Geonosis, the Quad Droid never saw more action other than limited field trials. Designed as an answer to those pesky clone troopers, the standard Quad Droid is armed with a 360-degree rotating laser turret, 2 small blasters mounted to the rear legs, and a large blaster that makes up most of the head. In addition, the Quad Droid features 4 titanium-rhodium alloy legs perfect for tearing into clone armor. The Quad Droid features 2 large generators in its beefy hind legs and can function well with only one. The Quad Droid also had several planned variants, including reconaissance and ion cannon versions. The Trade Federation Quad Droid With a minifig for scale Gallery (when public)
  8. Fascinating building techniques! I have never seen the pneumatic tees used that way! I think this thing is a great little MOC, but that the most interesting and amazing part is the way it was built, not the model itself. Well done :-D
  9. Thanks, exo attack *sweet* I'm currently working on a dark bley/orange reverse leg mech similar to a MadCat but without shoulder pods and with hands instead of mounted weapons...it seats 2 minifigs and will be loaded with all sorts of goodies *y* keep an eye out for it in the next couple of months...
  10. Here's my entry, the Juno: I built it a long time ago and can't remember exactly which sets I used, but it looks like it was mainly the Grand Titan, the Stealth Hunter, and the Thunder Fury sets. With weapons and shoulder pods attached: More pics here --Geoff
