Hey guys been a while since i posted a deal. Heres one on www.tesco.com Create a new account and stick £50 worth of lego (its on their groceries website!) into your basket. At checkout enter these codes XXAFFT - £10 off your first shop over £50 GRKHMM - £10 off GRHHYT - 1000 points when you spend over £50 so a nice £20 off the shop plus you get £10 in points you can spend on more lego :) I did this for black ops 2 and picked up my order today with no problems so its not a glitch on their website! I think this stacks with bogof and other deals so choose your products wisely... Happy shopping :) Quick edit - items showing as available to add might vary based on your location to closest store!

Amazing construction. I love the smooth metal looking finish you've achieved on the cranium and torso. Thanks for sharing.

So many wonderful builds on this website that i dont find time to reply as often as i would wish to. This one forced me to post though! Looks absolutely amazing. How does it look under full sail? (assuming the sails can be unfurled)

The second castle you made looks really good. As im experimenting with design using LDD i think it could be an interesting building to construct due to the mix of detail. Also Ive noticed i tend to lose focus without an image to follow. Thanks for sharing!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
carnybaby replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
you're thinking of a quiver. The shield piece reminds me of the foot troops from those films. now for someone to make custom helms and the battle for middle earth can begin! (once i dig out some old gammoreans :) ) -
My daughter also came up with the idea of a sweet shop and this one looks great! The pram model is really cute. Im sure she will try to make her own now :)

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
carnybaby replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Does anyone else find the choice of weapons for the elf and Native American Chief slightly unusual? The elf has a shield and a bow. While Im not complaining as the shield is a beautiful piece, I would have thought it might ship with a sword too. An elf orientated longsword would be brilliant :) The spear on the chief just doesnt seem to fit visually for me. while technically correct it seems almost like the spear of a different era of warrior. A few feathers around the head would really enhance the look I think. I could actually see myself swopping the bow from elf with the spear from the Chief (maybe adding a hatchet type weapon too) though i do have images now of a war party made up of the chief from this series and the brave from previous! -
how many of AFOLs play with their kids

Our lego collection is technically my daughters (aged six) who is helped by her little sister (aged 3) when it comes to making things. The older girl likes little 'challenges' where i give her an idea and she makes it, after which we look at how to improve the design. I make the odd thing on my own which she helps with, the latest being a lego optimus prime variant as ive always loved the idea of making one. We have actually managed to finish a prototype model which works well but after seeing some of the amazing models people have posted online we know we can improve it alot! Having two girls was also a good excuse for getting two of each of the daily mirror models recently (we ended up with as many as 4 of some as our tokens werent taken on collection so my mother in law used to fetch more! ) -
I was just curious why designs using the LDD arent allowed. Doesnt this limit the amount of people able to participate based on the size and variety of their lego collection?

Hi guys, After lurking for a long time and admiring the work of other members of the site Ive finally decided to register as ive recently got my oldest daughter interested in lego :) Having purchased a huge stack of sets during the half price sainsburys sale we're having lots of fun making up some our varied sets. This combined with the recent mirror promotion means we have lots of interesting peices to use to stretch both her (and My!) imaginations. Im not sure which of us is looking forward to xmas most now as we have a pile of unopened boxes (a mixture of types including po kloons fighter, lego petrol tanker, lego sea plane and a fire brigade set). As an avid bargain watcher Ill try to let people know when i spot an online deal!
