  1. Thanks for the advice, I have sorted as best I can into themes and what was left went into bulk packs by colour and weight. Over 40 listings now on ebay if anyone is interested: link removed
  2. When you say themes do you mean doors, arches etc? Or castles, space, city etc? If so I guess with blocks theres going to be a lot of generic bricks and small plates.
  3. Hi all, when I was little, late 80's, early 90's I had tonnes of lego, it was the best thing ever. I thought it had gone to the tip after it went into my parents loft during my teenage years. However my parents had a clear out last year and out it came. Theres loads of bricks from sets from the 80's and 90's. It has come time to sell it on and put the funds towards my other passion which is cars. I have listed a lot of the mini figures, animals and base plates on ebay which are selling well, link removed However I am now left with a lot of bricks and other misc pieces. I am after advice on how to sell the collection? By colour and weight? One big job lot? Individual blocks? Should I go through and pull certain rare bricks out and sell the rest in lots? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance, here are some pics of the bits left: 12517207_10153320885198372_897550594_o by James Baker, on Flickr 12544877_10153320885358372_32802266_o by James Baker, on Flickr 12562572_10153320885273372_1099973040_o by James Baker, on Flickr 12528349_10153320885448372_835952872_o by James Baker, on Flickr 12421918_10153320885378372_1334450682_o by James Baker, on Flickr 12557038_10153320885463372_1957148864_o by James Baker, on Flickr
  4. Love what you have done here, getting some real inspiration to get building today.

  6. Thanks for the welcome, it would seem I had a short stay on the naughty seat, but I have now updated the images to 800x600 :)

  8. As I child I played with Lego for years, but as time passed I forgot about it and moved onto video games. Now 30 watching the Lego movie and a trip to Lego land Windsor reignited my interest. The purchase of this set, McLaren P1 75909, was the first thing I had built in years and really sparked something I had forgotten for so many years:
  9. Thanks for the welcome, I have started to sort out my lego collection from when I was younger. Unfortunately my sister cleared the loft out and threw away all the instructions however, I have found http://lego.brickinstructions.com/ very useful. To help me find the parts I need, I used some old storage drawers I had in the loft to sort the lego into colours to make it easier to build the old sets: Organising by James Baker, on Flickr Sorting mini figures by James Baker, on Flickr This meant I was able to build my first old set, Fire Breathing Fortress 6082 from around 1993, the base plate is a little damaged but im not too fussed: Fire Breathing Fortress 6082 from around 1993 by James Baker, on Flickr Fire Breathing Fortress 6082 from around 1993 by James Baker, on Flickr I also have some new sets from my visit to lego land and fathers day. 10. Hi all, I am new to here so I thought I would say hello. Im 30 and recently got back into lego after watching the movie then a trip to lego land with the children. When younger I had tonnes of lego which disappeared into my parents loft when I got older. Last week my parents dug it out so I could have a play and I have ended up finding the instructions and building a number of sets already. Lego land was amazing and made me feel like a big kid again. We stayed at the Logo hotel in a pirate themed room and the children loved it. I also got given the ghostbusters set for fathers day.
