  1. Mine came with 36x0 actuators out of the box, but after a few days of playing with it, I've got problems lifting the boom arm again. Changed out the batteries, swapped the motor leads, but still the same outcome. I've written to Lego customer service a couple weeks back and haven't gotten anything apart of the standard auto-reply.
  2. Well here's to hoping that the cardboard-backed instruction manuals mean they're the updated kits. Have been messing about with my excavator for the past one day and it all seems fine. The shop that I bought it from assured me it was the fixed one.
  3. I'm sorry, I'm new, so I didn't know chopping was taboo. The reason why I've wandered on here is that I've bought a 8043 Excavator to go onto the back of my 1/14th scale radio control truck and trailer. In RC trucking circles, chopping, filling and gluing is commonplace. Guess it isn't so for Lego.
  4. Has anyone just simply tried to cut sections out of the existing bucket, then glue it back together, in order to make it narrower?
