Hi, Interested in your cafe corner & city town house
-
This was mine!!! Coincidentally it was also my very 1st set. I had the good fortune of finding it again for $100sgd with a perfect box, instructions and bricks. Ah, brings back so much good memories.

OpenStreetMap Lego city?

Awesome idea! It would be fantastic if we could have minifigs that represent ourselves too. -
How open are you about your Lego passion?
Cloud0 replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
From where I come from(Singapore), most of the people who buy from Lego speciality shops are adults. Never see kids or teenagers buy any. Adults buy for their kids, and AFOL wheel of carotns after cartons for themselves. So it's like a norm to buy Lego here as an adult. Hardly see kids buying them anyway. -
Thought of building a clock tower to use as a real clock in my living room. Here's the LDD attempt. Left a small gap at the clock area so that I can purchase a clock mechanism to place it in. It can be separated into 3 pieces easily for easy transport. Total height should be 60cm when fully erected. Rests on a 32 x 32 base plate. The entire tower Ground floor where the streets are Might add in some traffic and minifigs when I do get around to building the real thing Mid portion Nothing special here The clocks A better look The roof Total: 1707 pc count Price: $455 from Lego design by me

Newbie's attempt at LDD
Cloud0 replied to Cloud0's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Thanks thanks. Started with light and dark bley because felt that it's probably easier to buy and probably cheaper too. After completing it, doubt the price is friendly after all. Maybe in the next project I can include in more details, color and etc. -
Hey guys! Showcasing my newbie attempt at LDD. An office building. Overview 1st-4th floor only The lobby Includes a fountain and an operating lift which brings them up all 4 stories and roof top. 2nd floor A big meeting room with a projector and pantry. Balcony area probably for smokers. A small couch and plant next to the lift for visitors. 3rd floor Cubicles and more cubicles. 4th floor Executives and management only. The roof Comes with a green house for eco-friendliness. Thanks for your time. Any C & C welcome. Btw, it costed USD$995 to buy from lego...

Think here in Singapore everywhere is warm. So it means that people who stay in tropical countries are doomed with creaky bricks for life? Or should i store my bricks in the fridge?

Really quiet and boring day... Look left and look right, saw nobody around, fired up LDD and did a little "work scene" (note, that is really my colleague's hairstyle behind) Yeah, it was really fun doing it

I just purchase an Imperial flagship 10210 back in September last year 2010. Built it once, and then broke it down to be kept in storage. It was displayed for a month or so on a table top indoors with curtains drawn daily. Last night I took it out wanting to built it again because it's simply awesome. However i found the bricks to be creaky already! It feels kinda hollow, creakys when i bend them and does not snap on as well. It seems to have expanded or some sort. Anyone can give advise on how to avoid such problems? Anyway to restore it back to it's original prestine condition?

If I buy a used set and it is still assembled. I MUST strip apart everything, sort them into stacks of 5s and painfully count each and every piece and make sure they are in place, refusing to build and buying all missing parts before starting. (Once i bought a used death star 10188, man the stripping and sorting took 6 hours!!!) I also insist to rebuild everything my wife did becuase i have to know how the construction was like.

Just came out of my dark ages roughly 4-5 months ago after a 18 years break! Swept up most Lego set themes in sight. (Kingdoms, some starwars, creator series, train sets, city sets, pirates, HP, modular buildings, POP, Toy story and spongebob etc)Towards the end of last year, alot of Atlantis sets were on sale, was never interested in Atlantis initially cause the box art looked kinda boring and a little kiddish, but bought some anyway cause they were so cheap. Upon opening and constructing the sets, it totally blew me away! Seriously Atlantis could top most of the themes i started collecting. Yeah so Atlantis just rose to the top suddenly just like this. Scooped up 10 out of 14 Atlantis sets in 2 weeks shortly after that.
