So that's £35 in old money ;) That's why its tricky...New SW Force Awakens game on Amazon is £39 in UK. Now I know these new level packs will have a new build for the portal and mini figs, and digital content, but £35 is pretty much the price of a full game. As I said its a different model to operate for these larger level packs.

Was watching a vid on YouTube this morning and they were talking (man from TT games) about the new story packs. It was from the LD booth at E3. He said that new story packs contain 6 levels, and for example that would cover the entire Fantastic Beasts Movie. Interesting as its way bigger than a current level pack (1 level) and will presumably be more expensive, but much less than a standard game. Pricing this is going to be tricky. It also gives them a way of doing a more complete job of a franchise that they might not think they can stretch to a full game release. Its certainly an interesting addition to the TT Legos games offering and probably the way we were always heading. Before LD i would have said its nailed on that FB would get its now new lego full game.... I also thought down the line we would see a full Ghostbusters game incorporating all films to date, but i reckon thats less likely now?

Thanks for that, you might have noticed there is a thread with several users having problems accessing this. Certainly not a browser issue... any thoughts on the issue?
-
I just did same thing, logged out, the thread is there and I can see it. Log in and I cant see it..... Defo a permission issue... not browser issue.
-
I'm logged in and it wont work... used chrome and IE to test....... Something clearly not right!
-
I cant figure it out, but where have all the threads related to Lego Dimensions, other Lego TT games moved too in the culture and multimedia section gone? They are there but seem to have been moved? I wont give me access to them when logged in?

the titanic level is in the main ghost-busters story level. You can get a few mini kits from there, but one is locked until you have a time travel vehicle (train or delorian will do). As I don't have that yet it was the only one I could not get. Ohnand its probs not a Dr Who reference, its most certainly not any kind of space ship. You summon it out of the water and its looks like a good old sea faring ship...
-
The batmobile has sonar smash at stage two... Some of the nijago packs have a flight one. I got the blue one and its got a little space ship thing that has flight from the first stage (not upgrade necessary)

That's great, thanks.... really useful.

That is Lucky! I bet there will be deals in the Uk at Christmas, we have the next wave in November, so some of the harder to shift ones might get a couple of quid off then too. I know what you mean though, I want to get another pack every time i'm in the shops. As it stands I have Portal Level pack, Wicked Witch, Jay, Emmet, Scooby Doo Team Pack. Just with this (total cost £100) has opened up a lot of the game to be fair, and there is plenty to keep me going. But as someone who's played all the lego games and got platinum trophy's in most of them on PS3/4 its infuriating that i cant get past some bits until the relevant pack is released. I could understand it for adventure wolds, but in in the levels... IMO they should have been totally comparable with the base pack. That said I can see why, Im likely to spend a considerably larger amount on packs than I would have. What I would like to see is an optimum build of what packs you need to unlock everything. There are some packs that although the lego and minifigures are cool, they just come with the same ability's as other packs... Going to have to look into that I think!

Just a heads up of how to save a couple of £££ in the u.k. There is a ebay trader called borchusammy who been trading reliably and cheaply Skylanders and Disney Infinity and Ambio figures on ebay for a long time with really good feedback levels. Hes in Germany I believe. A friend of mine just tipped me off hes also started doing Lego Dimensions. I'm going to order something and see how it goes... In the shops Wonder Woman in the UK is 14.99 (£14.86 on amazon) http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5d5da462ac Hes got it listed (above) for £13.42 (total price + P and P). I make that a 10% saving which is none to shabby! Hes also got all three LOR, LEGO Movie or Cheima packs. In the shops total price £44.97 and hes got it all in at £37 (14% saving) Long delivery times, but at this point in time only way i can find to save a bit of money.

I got the x2 multiplier from the Lego Lord of the rings adventure world. after coming out of portal there was this robot thing carrying the brick, you have to chase it down before timer runs out, but it glitched and never moved so got that very easy! I got the mini kit detector from the Lego adventure world I believe.. there are some sewers under bricksberg if I recall. All the red bricks are held by this flying robot thing, and all you have to do is chase it down before the time runs out. I used an upgraded slightly faster batmobile and did it easy. List of which red brick is in the adventure worlds. http://lego-dimensions.wikia.com/wiki/Red_Brick Also the story level of portal, surprised to see no on else has mentioned that technically 2001 A Space Odysseyis part of the Lego dimensions "canon". Thats a really well written segment of the game between the two AIs... loved it.

Well i'm through 5 of the story levels and still really impressed. I also got the additional Portal Level pack, and how good is that.... as a fan of Portal this was one I was looking forward too and the tone of the content is just perfect. Absolutely perfect. Attention to detail is amazing. Glad I got a few packs early on to be honest, its making the progress in the game pretty fast. Red Bricks are pretty easy to get in this game, and as such with the ability to go through a few of the barriers you need characters not in the starter pack from I was able to get the stud multipliers pretty fast compared to a standard lego game. Very much needed though as you need study's for all the upgrades to vehicles and the adventure world repairs. As someone going for Platinum on the game, its a different challenge this time around which is also very welcome.

Im not sure more Jurassic Park is needed, to be honest they just released a whole game for all four films a couple of months back. Having got it yesterday, I, loving it, did the opening two levels, and had a play in Lego and LOR adventure worlds... very impressed. Feels like a culmination of all the games before. Frustrating that to do "everything" you need 14 characters, but that's something that can last a year not all be done up front so that's ok. Just a bit frustrating that on first and then second play though of the story levels i'm till not going to be able to get through the Ghost Barrier in the Wizard of Oz story level until a Gbusters pack is released! Thankful i got a flying character yesterday too (Wicked Witch), highly recommend do that to make things easier. PS did anyone else go to bed the first night after getting LD with the bloody Wizard of Oz son stuck in their brain!

Well a day or so early but just been into my local ASDA (Uk Super Market) and the fun/level packs are out on the shelves. seems to have taken over half the area given to Skylanders, no change to the Disney Stuff. Not tempted to see if I could buy one as i'm away all weekend and it would annoy me, but come Monday the shelves are getting raised with the £80 I have squirreled away from the wife in my draw at work! (/Portal Level pack, Scooby Doo Team Pack and Wicked Witch) Great to see it on the selves though...

Anyone been listing to or aware of this Lego Dimensions Podcast "Inside Dimensions"... Listened to the last show and it was great.... a new one out today http://vgpodcasts.com/indim/ Its on I tunes too, wish I had found it sooner.

Been away on Holiday but could not see this linked anywhere on here. a good 10 minute look at the Lego Movie open world element of the game... its pretty big... also the inside of the Tardis.. Also some interesting confirmation All achievements/Trophies can be unlocked with the starter pack... Makes me wonder in pure game play terms if with the other open worlds you can later unlock (though new characters), if there will be trophies or achievements with them. I guess the worlds are fun little places to play about in. Nice to know that in reality to unlock all the worlds you just need one corresponding figure from the franchise. Will cut down the cost for people only interested in the game not collecting all the figures!
-
To be fair I will probably store them them a minifigure display frame after a while like my collectible mini-figure collection. At the end of the day if I wanted to play the game again it only needs the NFC disc and there should be a way of working out which chip is which. In terms of the waves and release dates I was looking around Amazon UK, Argos and a few other Uk sites and the wave dates look something like this Starter Pack - Wave 1 Sep-15 Wave 2 Nov-15 Wave 3 Jan-16 Wave 4 Mar-16 Wave 5 TBA Not sure all the sites I looked at had all the sets in the right waves, but that was the general feel for it in the UK (might be different elsewhere)

From the packs announced and starter pack assuming the animals and monsters have male and female characteristics (Scooby doo, Slimer male, Unikitty Female etc) the split between male and female is Male - 35 (81%) Female - 8 (19%)
-
So five packs still to be announced... Total cost based on Amazon for all packs - including a PS4 Starter pack = £764.63 (UK Price) Ouch! Nearly a grand when all is said and done form Completionists ... and that's just wave 1! Love the Ghostbuster pack. Its getting to starting to pick what I want time and Staypuff is pretty close to the top of that list right now!

New Trailer! A long one looking some of the worlds..... lots to take in.
-
Could be, but that's pretty unusual (You have generally had one achievement per level in the last few games) for a lego games...maybe it means 3 elements to the Dr Who level, like we have had in recent games, then when its free play you select each of them independetly?
-
Yes, missed that and have changed my post above to reflect it..
-
Yeah but it looks like there might potentially be 11 hub worlds?
-
Great find if that's the actual list Looking at the achievements then the levels will be There’s no Place Like… This. 25 Complete ”Follow the LEGO Brick Road” Chroma Simpson 25 Complete ”Meltdown at Sector 7-G” Of Mice and Chen 25 Complete ”Elements of Surprise” In the Nick of Timey-Wimey 25 Complete ”A Dalektable Adventure” Simply Walked Into… Metropolis 25 Complete ”Painting the Town Black” Interdimensional Showdown 25 Complete ”Once Upon A Time Machine in the West” GLaD to be out of There! 25 Complete ”GLaD to See You” Riddle Me That! 25 Complete ”Riddle-earth” Ghost… busted! 25 Complete ”The Phantom Zone” Enter Your Initials: ”AAA” 25 Complete ”All Your Bricks Are Belong To Us” Zoinks! 25 Complete ”Mystery Mansion Mash-Up” Tri Again Next Time 25 Complete ”Prime Time” Tri Hard with a Vengeance! 25 Complete ”The End is Tri” (Die hard crossover confirmed ;) ) A Serious Loophole 25 Complete ”The Final Dimension” So to me the list of leves by theam is?? Wizard of Oz Simpson’s Nijago Dr Who DC/Superman Back to the Future Portal Lord of the Rings Ghostbusters The Unknown Midway Arcade Level Scooby Doo The last three are harder to figure out, one has the picture of a companian cube? the other Frodo, Metalbeard and Robin? The last has a picture of golden mask. Interesting then that the Midway Arcade thing is going to be a level rather than just using characters? The level name is a reference to Zero Wing, but I don’t think that’s part of Midway Arcades licences? The rest of the achievements Time to Break the Rules! 5 Rebuild the LEGO Gateway Presumably some after main story achievement Broke the Rules! 75 Complete all story levels Rare Artefacts, collected! 50 Collect 30 Minikits from levels Time for an Upgrade! 10 Collect 5 Gold Bricks The Real Golden Master! 25 Collect 30 Gold Bricks All standard trophies for a for a lego game Home, Sweet Home 10 Visit any Hub World for the First Time Dimensional Explorer 25 Visit the homes of Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle Dimensional Dasher 15 Complete a race in any of the hub worlds Pedal to the Metal 40 Complete 5 hub races The Heroes We Need 10 Complete any hub world quest Restoring Order 15 Complete any hub world renovation Official Master Builder 40 Complete 15 hub world renovations This is an interesting set of achievements – So each of the main themes will have hub world… each with races, quests and renovations (what ever these are) – That’s potentially a hell of a lot of content. The Keystone to Victory 5 Collect all of the Gateway Keystones Taking the Tube 25 Travel through 20 rifts throughout the game Speedy Thing Goes In… 25 Complete ”GLaD to See You” within 25 minutes Forever Alone 25 Complete a level while only ever keeping one character active on the Toy Pad Lost Property 25 Complete 25 ‘Locate Mode’ puzzles Painting by Numbers 25 Complete 25 ‘Chroma Mode’ puzzles Elemental, My Dear 25 Enter ‘Elemental Mode’ on 25 unique occasions Too Old for This Shift 25 Shift through 50 ”Shift Mode” rifts But Does it Come in Pink? 25 Give the Batmobile a pink paint job Do You Like Bling, Batman? 50 Give the Batmobile a chrome paint job Na na na na na na na upgrades! 25 Upgrade the Batmobile to Model 2 Holy Upgrades, Batman! 50 Upgrade the Batmobile to Model 3 The rest are game specific and involve things we might not have seen in games before… no idea what a gateway keystone is, seems you can customise the Batmobile in numerous ways . The other are different yypes of puzzles and modes. Intresting to see these none the less Also love the achievement/trophy name "too old for this shift" - Lethal Weapon Cross over Confirmed
