  1. I did some extremely simple modifications to the new A-wing to make it a bit more screen accurate: First off I simplified the cannons. I felt like the cannons that were desigined by TLG were a bit too large and a bit too complex looking in comparison to the in-universe vehicle. You'll also notice the cockpit stickers from 75003: Second, I made the fines a bit larger. They were way too short on the stock 75175 and seemed to be just directly based on the dimensions of the Rebels-era A-wings: Even with the fins being larger it can still sit on its landing gear just fine, though the bottom fins do hit the ground, unfortunately: The pilot is L'ulo of Green Squadron and later of Black Squadron fame: One thing I couldn't figure out was how to achieve the split at the front of the ship... I may attempt to do some creative sticker work in the future to create the illusion of a split without having to completely redesign the model from scratch because I'm actually pretty fond of the look overall.
  2. Pretty disappointed in the lack of Zuckuss in the BP to be honest. Is it possible that maybe the BP is Freemaker-centric? Maybe there IS a possibility of Zuckuss showing up in a Freemaker set as stated above. Not that it would make a difference in the quality of prints or anything but just an observation given Dengar's inclusion in the series.
  3. it's not really lower detail, just a variation of the Death Trooper without the pauldron and ammo pouch on the left shoulder. It's accurate to the film, there seem to be 3 of each in Krennic's entourage.
  4. Thanks Forresto! Changed the build of that "thing" in the background to bring the two disk halves closer together and I think it looks much better now:
  5. Small Death Trooper Vignette based on the Rogue One shoot by Entertainment Weekly: Had to take some liberties with the scene. I wanted to include the device seen in the background on the far left. Not sure what I could have done to bring those disks in a little closer so that the gap wouldn't look so large, if anyone has some ideas let me know. What do you think?
  6. Nothing too special. Just modded 9492 with some more modern parts to make a more realistic cockpit section.
  7. Thank you for the positive feedback! As for LDD it's very unlikely. I don't really have the time and I've never used LDD before.
  8. Posted this MOC some time ago but I've since changed and added some things. Kind of a combination of a UH-1 Huey and a HMMWV in look and concept. I was also obviously channeling a lot of the aesthetic of other Imperial vehicles like the AT-AT and AT-ST. This craft is primarily used in atmosphere to deliver and retrieve a squad of Stormtroopers to and from combat zones quickly and provide aerial support to troops on the ground. Top hinges open to allow easy placement of figures: Tactical Map detailing objectives for the squad's mission:
  9. Thanks for the feedback! I'm proud of the way the ship turned out but the wings have some bend to them that I'm not too happy with. I think it's mostly do to some natural flex in the parts but it's a bit jarring to my eye.
  10. First Order TIE/INx2 - An experimental upgrade to the Empire's TIE Interceptor used by the Navy of the First Order. The ship is even faster than the original and boasts shields much like the First Order's upgraded TIE/LN fighters. It also has tracking abilities and radar jamming abilities, making it extremely hard to hit for all but the most experienced Resistance pilots. The TIE/INx2 is utilized by only the most skilled (or suicidal) First Order pilots. This MOC was inspired by a TIE concept art from the Force Awakens. The inspiration:
  11. Thanks for the kind words! @Miles teg. The rear is pretty much identical to the unmodified model.
  12. I honestly never liked the construction of the cockpit section of 9492. I really hated the look of the printed bubble canopy so I decided to mod mine using pieces from the TIE Advanced Prototype that was released earlier this year: I think it looks a million times better!
  13. Anyone have any recommendations on printed legs for Bossk? The unprinted legs that come with him just make him look unfinished to me.
  14. Personally I'm not a big fan of modding lego. I tend to keep things purist but weapons are an exception, especially for iconic characters who have weapons that are fairly unique to them. I had originally purchased the Brickforge Headhunter Quickshot: http://www.firestartoys.com/Shop/Minifigure-Weapons/BrickForge-Guns/13245-BrickForge-~-Headhunter-Quickshot-~-Black.html I wasn't particularly happy with the limited poses I could get from Fett with the weapon in this configuration. I wanted to give him a pose that looked like he was shouldering the weapon so I cut off the stock and what is intended to be the pistol grip. I also cut off the grip that the figure is intended to hold onto and glued it to the bottom. I also attached a Brickarms AK stock that I had painted some time ago and I think the results are perfect: I now have the perfect Boba to go with my UCS Slave I
  15. Thanks for the kind words! I decided to go with an all grey color scheme for the rock wall and I think it looks a lot better:
  16. A small MOC depicting the cover of Crimson Empire III. Not super impressive or accurate by any means,. I just wanted something small with a similar feel that I could display on a desk or shelf and I quite like it. Any suggestions for improvement? I think I should replace all the brown and tan slopes with grey... At first I thought a mix was more realistic but I'm starting to second guess that. Kir Kanos himself... Mostly purist other than the weapon. The torso is Deadpool's
  17. Yes it does. I'd take a picture but the lighting in my apartment is terrible, thus the already horrid pictures. Personally, I prefer studs on my MOCs. It's just part of the charm and aesthetic of it being a Lego model, but I appreciate the feedback!
  18. The StarCobra-Class Assault Fighter is a craft designed by MandalMotors. It is intended as a more traditional and economical alternative to the StarViper-Class Attack Platform and it offers comparable firepower and durability to the T65 X-wing and matches the agility of the Imperial TIE Fighter. This starfighter is extremely popular among Mandalorian Mercenaries: Let me know what you think!
  19. I picked one up... I tried the method you listed above but every variation I've tried ends up looking too big. I'd take a picture but unfortunately I don't have the ship or the radar with me at the apartment. I am happy a new falcon is coming out though... Hopefully it'll be a bit better than the last one.
  20. Looking for recommendations on parts for a system scale Millenium Falcon TFA radar dish for my 7965 to hold me over until the TFA Falcon is officially released... I've tried several different builds but they've all looked way too big for the ship or just were not detailed enough.
  21. Those who remark that the leaked TFA set doesn't have any kind of visible cockpit/windscreen, I'd like to point out that the 75057 AT-AT similarly doesn't have any kind of windscreen that the minifigs can see out of, rather it has pieces that make up where the windscreen would be... This could be kind of the same case.
  22. I rather heavily modified my 75004 to resemble a more traditional Z95. In universe this would be used by the Rebel Alliance for close air support. I based it off an image of a scale model I found online: The inspiration. What do you think?
  23. I did some mods to the rear to make the interior less visible. I also added a rear firing cannon!
  24. I appreciate the positive feedback! And yes the concept is the same as the Republic gunship but simplified and scaled down for mass production and Imperial military operations. I was very apprehensive about the boxiness of the front of the craft. I felt it looked too simplistic but it did remind me a lot of the design of the AT-AT, AT-ST, and AT-DP so I decided to just stick with it. It definitely fits the Imperial aesthetic. I think Imperial V-Wing pilots would look cool. I'll consider it.
  25. Hello! I'm a huge Star Wars fan and have only recently begun taking lego building and customization more seriously. Here is one of my first 100% custom builds. Please let me know what you think! I eagerly await any constructive criticism. Personally it took awhile for me to warm up to this thing because I had started off wanting to make the Imperial Dropship seen in the Force Unleashed... Over time however it was proving too difficult for my still relatively novice building skills and parts selections and I decided to take it my own way. The concept is a combination of a Humvee and a UH-1 Huey in terms of inspiration. In-universe inspiration came from the Imperial Dropship from The Force Unleashed and the Imperial APC from Rogue Squadron III. ATT - Armored Trooper Transport. 100% non-canon custom build. The ship is heavily armored and as modular weapon outlets to fit a variety of support roles once the stormtroopers have disembarked the craft. -Armaments include two light laser cannons on the angled armored portions. The two weapons in the middle are a heavy cannon (left) and a thermal detonator launcher on the right. The weapon systems are designed to be modular. On the right next to the cockpit you can see a small radar dish which links up with a kind of GPS. The console for that is visible in the interior. -Top hinges up for easy placement of stormtrooper minifigures. -Console for the GPS in the center. Driver's position on the right, gunner's position on the left. I can't decide whether or not to use TIE pilots or AT-AT pilots given that this is a vehicle that's meant to be used solely in atmosphere. What do you think?
