Thanks Lego Historian, much appreciated. You are correct, I am in UK. I think rather than pass this set on to the kids I will sell this one on to a collector to preserve the history with someone who appreciates the vintage stuff. I'll treat the kids to some modern stuff instead.

Hi all, I have inherited this lego set and wanted to know if anyone can identify it? From what I can make out it is an early system set produced in the 50s-60s. Any further info on rarity/value? Thanks
