  1. Brilliant Software ! So much faster & simpler than POV Ray. Did a little test run on one of my models: Top is Bluerender Bottom is POV-Ray.
  2. I have always liked to build big in LDD. That's the main thing that makes the virtual bricks preferable over plastic ones for me. Recently i 'accidentally' started a model that would become the largest i have ever created but i am afraid i will run into a lot of trouble with it. I am aware of the problem with ldd crashing with large amounts of bricks, i already started having problems after 30,000 bricks, (which is barely scratching the surface of how many would be required to complete the model) And since it's all seeming like such a pipe-dream i would like to ask the more experienced about their opinion on my options here. I know there are other more serious programs such as LDcad that should be able to handle it, however i am not familiar with this program at all and i don't think i want to learn it just to find out the model i want to build is still impossible. Also i wonder if it could be possible to build separate parts of the model in LDD and then import them all into LDcad ? One trick i read about was with building the model in separate files and parsing it all together with POV-Ray, this could work but i would not be able to build any interior to my model since it would never be seen. And of course the final option that comes to my mind at the moment would be to just stop dreaming and never try anything like this again, until LDD is tweaked to handle super-sized models (not anytime soon i'm afraid).
  3. Yeah i literally noticed this seconds after creating my own topic My apologies.. Don't know how i missed this the first time.
  4. Hi. This is my first post here, i have been reading this forum for a long time without registering, but today i encountered a strange problem with LDD and couldn't find any solutions anywhere so i decided to ask here. So i just opened up ldd like i have millions of times before, but this time all the colors except for the default red were missing from the color palette in extended mode. All the colors in the default mode seem to be still there, i just never build anything in that mode anymore so it's no use for me. Does anyone know what is causing this and how to get the colors restored ? i have tried reinstalling the software without any luck. Thanks in advance.
