  1. I could say a lot of nasty things on here, but I'm going to keep it professional and stick to the facts. I don't think what you wear is the main thing that makes you controversial, it's good that you took the feedback and decided to wear more appropriate attire (still a lot of cleavage, but whatever), but there are so many other things that put you in the spotlight in a negative way. I guess I could go through the laundry list of things that you've done that make you a poor player in the LEGO community... But I know that when I name off all those things, you will have some sort of excuse or denial about each one. I can understand that sometimes people get falsely accused of things, but when talking about LEGO & controversy, I can probably think of a dozen or more times you have been at the center of it. One time can explained away as "that person was just against me for no reason" but a dozen or more times people really need to ask the question if you really are a hero in the LEGO community, or just a nasty villain...
  2. I agree that a lot are into it for the money, but I wouldn't say all of them are (besides I'm sure there really isn't that much money to be had)... You can tell people like BrickTsar & BrickSpy are into it for LEGO, since you already know that they have been collecting LEGO since they were children, and you have all seen their HUGE collections (BrickSpy has filled several rooms in his house full of LEGO). And others like Just2Good are pure LEGO fanatics for sure... But people like BrickQueen, TheBrickShow, & EvanTube are definitely in it only for the money. BQ has done videos on her channel about her distaste of the LEGO group (because apparently they do not like her), she started reviewing other toys just for that reason. BrickShow sells pretty much all of their sets after reviewing them, and I've seen videos of them telling how they weren't really into LEGO as a kid. EvanTube likes LEGO just about as much as any little kid would, but you can obviously tell he is just a puppet, and his YT channel is really his Dad's (who reaps all the benefits) So I do think it's an unfair statement to say all LEGO YouTubers are only in it for the money, since a lot of them make very little money with it compared to the cost of the LEGO sets.
  3. I was trying to steer us back to the topic at hand, but to answer your comment, the problem was not that she is in the thumbnails, it is what she is wearing (or lack of what she is wearing rather). Her channel is geared toward kids, and she wears outfits suited for late night Cinemax... I have kids, and I certainly don't agree with someone marketing themselves to my kids in a sexual manner... But just to reiterate, this is not the topic of discussion, and since this site has a lot of kids on it as well, we would like to shift the focus back to the original topic... But if we have nothing else to add to the original topic, then I guess it would be time to close the thread?
  4. I agree with you, we have all apologized for making pun's about her weight, and that is understandably a personal attack, which we all agreed to not repeat. However, the moderator should be able to distinguish between a personal comment about someone's weight, and a very valid comment about how inappropriately someone dresses for a channel geared toward kids. When someone chooses to wear a costume to get a reaction, then it's completely fair to comment about that costume. I don't feel its fair to censor everyone who's reaction was not positive about that person's "shock costume" (as long as criticism is done professionally) That all being said, this thread about about BQ's attack against another YouTuber, so we have all actually gotten off topic. The bigger issue with the entire BQ thing, is that her malicious attack on BrickSpy which is only the tip of the iceberg with her. Unfortunately she has influence over 140k subscribers, and countless others who watch her videos who have not subscribed. I think we all agree that she should hold herself to a higher standard, and not attack a smaller YouTuber for simply reporting LEGO news. Apparently she has never heard the phrase "there is no such thing as bad publicity"...
  5. I agree as well, let's keep it professional. Not sure if advertising goods or services fits with the warning, but I agree to no longer speak of a person's weight or attire, or to make anything personal. I do agree with Kermit however, if I were BrickSpy, I would not have agreed to her terms and just kept the videos up. I saw the videos, they were just news videos, and last I checked, news reporting is protected speech and is not subject to copyright infringements.
  6. I would have to agree with you, even though LEGO is now widely accepted as a toy for adults too, it has always been for the kids, and for her to be hanging out all over the place is disgusting and inappropriate. I would say it is not appropriate for anyone to flaunt themselves like that when their channel is geared toward kids, but ESPECIALLY when they look like BQ, she has nothing to show off! Well let me rephrase, she has A LOT to show off, but nothing anyone wants to see...
  7. I agree, it's easier to explain away when there is 1 thing, but there is always some scandal involving her... People might say it's because she is one of the bigger LEGO YouTubers and she gets attacked more, but you don't see all this scandal with other big LEGO YouTubers... Just her... Do you remember what she did to Just2Good? I remember reading something about stealing a custom minifig design and passing it off as her own... Trying to remember if that was his, or someone else...
  8. I bet if you emailed BrickSpy, he would email you the screenshots that he took down from his Instagram page (well maybe he will, but he might be fearful of retaliation from BrickQueen) but it couldn't hurt to ask? I think it just sucks that someone as evil as BQ actually has that much influence in the LEGO community, and she does all these nasty things with her influence...
  9. I was watching this unfold on BrickSpy's channel, there was a moment when BrickSpy posted screenshots of the the copyright claims on his Instagram page and for sure BrickQueen did file 2 copyright claims on him. Before BrickSpy removed his videos, I did see them, he wasn't exactly nice to BQ, but he didn't really say any thing bad about her. There were no copyright violations that I could see, he was just reporting about the information he had about her... BQ has a long history if doing nasty things... I have seen so many things she has done that should get her banned from YouTube for violating terms of service. She isn't very good at covering her tracks either. Her evil ranges from scam giveaways, to outright stealing other people's designs, and to filing false copyright claims against people who say anything negative about her... I wish BrickSpy would have stuck to his guns and not agreed with her to remove his videos. He didn't do anything wrong, but I guess if he had gotten 1 more copyright strike from her YT would have terminated his account :-(
